I'll add in the ratings tomorrow NWA Midwest presents: VENDETTA Dark Match: Jerry Lynn d. Jimmy Jacobs (68/54/83) Interstate Tournament Semifinals: Onyx vs. Matt Striker A match of two rising forces, Onyx and Matt Striker. Both guys have plenty of momentum coming into the match, but Onyx apparently has the better momentum of the two, as he ekes out the win over the no longer so happy go lucky Matt Striker. WINNER: Onyx (63/57/69) The Naturals vs. Lords of the Ring The match is a ladder match with the contract for the NWA Tag Title shot hanging above the ring. The two teams are ready to face each other, and it seems that the Lords of the Ring have the advantage early on. But their power is no match for Jim E. Cornette's management, and the drive of the Naturals to get vengeance for the attack on Cornette last night. WINNERS: The Naturals (77/74/81) Interstate Tournament Semifinals: Chad Collyer vs. B-Boy B-Boy wants to make a brawl out of the match, but Collyer constantly avoids it by bringing B-Boy to the mat. B-boy's temper comes to a boil and Collyer takes advantage very well. B-Boy isn't on his best game, and it costs him. He wants to fight, and Collyer actually wrestles. WINNER: Chad Collyer (71/58/84) Texas Deathmatch: Ken Kennedy vs. Terry Funk Funk and Kennedy both look a bit intimidated by the idea of a Texas Deathmatch. Funk not as much as Kennedy, but still nervous, nonetheles. The match is brutal. A new level of intensity for Kennedy. Funk's age shows a bit, but he still wrestles hard in the match. The match includes chairs, tables, ladders, barbed wire, tacks and a flaming branding iron from Terry Funk. The two brawl until neither one can stand long. The finish comes as an exhausted Funk knocks Kennedy off the apron onto the guardrail, and Funk is too exhausted to stand up off the floor. WINNER: Ken Kennedy (81/88/67) Benoit and Angle are warming up! I would assume that's pretty self explanatory. We see Benoit and Angle warming up seperately. (100) Interstate Tournament Finals: Chad Collyer vs. Onyx The finals of the Interstate Tournament bring us two of NWA Midwest's rising stars. Onyx is still focused, just like before, and Collyer looks prepared. The two lock up and the match is AWESOME. Onyx is basically doing what B-Boy wanted to do earlier, and it's possible because he wrestles Collyer into the position to actually use his power. Collyer does a good job of grounding Onyx, but William Regal makes his way to the ring and costs Collyer the match. WINNER: Onyx (65/48/83) Regal vs. Sabu vs. Batista vs. Abyss The match is for a shot at Benoit and the Midwest Title Next Sunday at Clash of the Champions. It's an elimination match, and Regal is the first man out after Chad Collyer costs him his shot. Regal and Collyer brawl all the way to the back. Sabu and Abyss double team Batista, but Batista knocks Abyss out and then eliminates Sabu after catching him and Batista Bombing him. It's down to Batista and Abyss, and Abyss is fired up. The two brawl, and Abyss has the upper hand until James Mitchell calls for Doomsday. Once Abyss turns around, Batista delivers a Spinebuster and then a Batista Bomb for the win. WINNER: Batista (78/79/78) NWA Midwest Championship: Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle-Submission Match Benoit is reluctant to give the belt to the ref. Once he does, though, Angle goes straight for his legs. The two wrestle consistently, with Angle trying to work the legs and Benoit going for Angle's shoulder and neck. It's back and forth, with Benoit always getting into the ropes, and Angle always a step ahead of Benoit's crossface attempts. Benoit seems to give the match away after missing a flying headbutt attempt, but he rolls out of Angle's Ankle Lock and rolls Angle shoulder first into the ringpost, and then slaps the crossface on the weakened shoulder for the win. WINNER: Chris Benoit (89/90/90) |

I like yours the best, however, this show was a considerable let down from the previous big show. Keep up the good work. |

Onyx won the tourney, eh? Interesting choice, I was personally rooting for Chad Collyer :) |

Smkelly, this show was a bit more rushed than my previous ones. I've been working a lot, and helping out at my uncle's church a lot as well, so I didn't have the time I've previously had to work on it. It's also in the middle of a lot of feuds. But I promise I'll try and make my next one a bit better. ;) And as for Onyx winning, it's more because I finally came up with something for his character, and though it's a bit generic, It actually gave me a reason to want to write something for him. But don't worry, Collyer isn't going to stray too far from the title |

Bah, your foolish Midwest fans were all deflated for the finals of the Interstate tourney. Oh well, the same thing happened to me when it was time to crown the Boston Harbor Champ. |
