NWA Mexico Presents Mexico City Rematch nwamexico.blogspot.com - that's not a real address yet Results: Matt Stryker and TJ Wilson d. Disco Machine and Rising Son Los Vipers d. Los Barrio Boys Acero Dorado d. Charly Manson Shocker d. Donovan Morgan Psychosis d. Mephisto Rey Bucanero and Ultimo Guerrero d. Jody Fleisch and Ultimo Dragon Mexico's Most Wanted d. Dr. Wagner Jr. and Fuerza Guerrera to win the tag team titles El Hijo Del Santo vs. Cibernetico - Double DQ Perro Aguayo Jr. d. Juventud Guerrera by DQ Matt Stryker and TJ Wilson d. Disco Machine and Rising Son Disco Machine and Rising Son are still relatively new to the area. I was told NWA: M officials went with this match to showcase some of the talent in the new middleweight division. This was a pretty good opener as there was a lot of high flying and back and forth action. Crowd slowly got into it but due to 3 of the guys being really new didn't really get behind anyone. I'd give it ***. *** 62/40/85 Los Vipers d. Los Barrio Boys The Barrio Boys have suddenly become big stars here. Over the course of just a few weeks they scored some upsets and the crowd has really come to their side. This match will probably lead to a title shot for the Vipers. This was a really good match as there were just some crazy high spots here. I'd give it ****1/4. 85/74/96 Acero Dorado d. Charly Manson This wasn't their usual great match but it was still a pretty solid match. Dorado picked up the win and looks to be in line for a shot at Donovan Morgan and his Galavision Title. I'll give it ***. 78/75/81 Shocker d. Donovan Morgan This match had to be frustrating for Shocker fans. He finally gets the big win over Morgan but the title wasn't on the line for it. I guess Shocker is just a choker or something like that. Probably the best match they've had as Shocker was really on his game tonight. I could see a three way feud developing between Shocker, Morgan and Dorado. I'd give this ****. 85/78/93 Psychosis d. Mephisto Mephisto again had trouble with endurance. He must be pretty pissed at Averno for failing that drug test a few weeks ago. Anyways Psychosis looked pretty good here and dominated a lot of the match after Mephisto ran out of gas at about the 10 minute mark. ***1/2. 79/69/89 Rey Bucanero and Ultimo Guerrero d. Jody Fleish and Ultimo Dragon This was probably the match of the night right here. Bucanero and Guerrero continue their streak of wins and great matches here. They have a title shot coming up in a few weeks and if I were a betting man I'd take them. I'd give this ****1/2. 89/79/99 Mexican Tag Team Title Match: Mexico's Most Wanted d. Dr. Wagner Jr. and Fuerza Guerrera © to win the titles MWM finally get a shot at the belts and bring home the gold. They'll be making their first title defense against the team of Rey Bucanero and Ultimo Guerrero. If you ask me we're in for another short title reign with these belts. ***1/2. 83/79/87 El Hijo Del Santo vs. Cibernetico - Double DQ Cibernetico lobbied hard for this match to be for the NWA World Heavyweight Title but ultimately was denied. The cheers for Santo were deafening as he made his entrance. It's been that way all over Mexico since he won the title a few weeks ago. Both men got DQd for excessive brawling outside of the ring. This was a wild brawl that went all over the arena and Santo's mask was soaked in his own blood. There are rumors of a rematch with the NWA Title being on the line. We'll have to wait and see. I'll give this ****1/2. 90/83/97 Mexican National Heavyweight Title Match: Perro Aguayo Jr. d. Juventud Guerrera © by DQ This is the rematch that everyone had been waiting for. Unfortunately for the fans Juvy managed to escape with the belt as he got himself DQd after a low blow to Aguayo. Aguayo was on fire the entire match and Juvy didn't look to be a match for him. Aguayo now has to climb back up the charts. I'll give this ****. 89/90/89 Overall this was probably one of the best shows NWA Mexico has every put on. I'd give it an 85% if I had to rate it. |

Whoo, Mexico has brought the work-rate! Looks like a critically aclaimed show that thrilled the audience, even to the point where they weren't upset over the dq finishes in the main events. Good show, look for more thoughts when I do the next Jukes Box. |

Yeah, the Double DQ is to lead into Santo vs. Cibernetico with the NWA World Title on the line in December sometime. |

Here's a secret, Mad Dog: I think Mexico has the best current main event scene of all the territories right now. |
