I love handing out DUD's when a match deserves it B) Hell, I gleefully gave Hogan/Piper at Judgment Day 03 a DUD.

As well as the four-way women's match at Great American Bash this year.

And others, mostly involving Kane :ph43r:

Wow, you picked a winner with that one.

I kinda figured it might've been a bit more competetive than it actually was. I mean, Holly was still a hot young prospect at this point. It seems like he would've gotten a bit more offense in before doing the clean job.

He did beat Owen Hart clean, after all.

WWF RAW June 22nd 1998- "Road Dogg" Jesse James vs. Kane

Quick start, James ducks a clothesline and peppers Kane with some rights. Kane nosells and tosses James to the opposite corner. Clothesline ducked, James with an eyepoke and some kicks. Dogg with some mounted punches but he gets tossed off. Dogg back up, he charges and gets nailed with a big clothesline. Kane with a falling elbow. Back up, Kane with a turnbuckle smash.

Kane with a right hand in the corner, Dogg gets whipped and leveled with a big boot. Kane with some choking now. Kane with some kicks to the sternum now. Shortarm clothesline now. Kane pounding now. In the corner, Kane continues clubbering away. Choking now. James with takes a big bump off a hard whip.

Kane stalks Dogg, nosells a couple boots and gets some more pounding in. James whipped across now, he ducks a clothesline and gets his dancing punches. James with a clothesline, Kane goes up and over and lands on his feet. Kane now with an extremely awkward looking necksnapper over the rope. Kane with a flying clothesline.

James whipped across, Kane charges into an elbow. Whip in, Kane misses a clothesline, but gets a chokeslam, James hits a lowblow, Kane holds on and hits it followed by a tombstone for three.

Winner: Kane

3/4*- Boring match. In wrestling its true, sometimes you just have a combination of guys who can't have a good match. They try, but nothing really clicks. This was one of those matches.

Edge vs. Jose Estraaaaaaadaaaaaa

Its amazing to see how far Edge has come. He's gone from beating up Jose Estrada to maineventing RAW and holding the heavyweight title.

Jose starts off quickly with some lefts and rights in the corner. Edge whipped across to no affect as he spears and hammers on Jose. Jose whipped in, he gets dropkicked to the floor. Edge now with a summersault helo over the top. Edge back in, the ref holds him back and Jose gets counted out. Edge wins by countout.

Winner: Edge

DUD: Very unusual finish, and a bad way to debut a new wrestler, as they were doing here.

WCW Souled Out 1998- Raven vs. Chris Benoit

Quick start here; Raven gets a baseball slide dropkick to start. Benoit rammed into the barricade, the steps and the barricade again. Back in, Raven gets a couple snapmares, but Benoit counters a third with a backslide for two. Raven's quickly back on the attack with an elbow and some head smashes to the mat. Benoit whipped into a knee, Raven tries it again but gets rolled up for another two. Raven gets another elbow to the head for only a one. Benoit tossed outside, he takes a chairshot. Raven gets an elbowdrop over Benoit's neck on the apron.

Back inside, Raven gets a snapmare on the chair. Raven with a bulldog onto the chair for two. Raven with a chair-toehold attempt, but Benoit counters it into one of his own. Raven gets back up and takes a chop that he sells like a bullet wound. Benoit now chops his way back into it and whips Raven into a big clothesline. Benoit with a snap-suplex on the chair. Benoit covers for two. Benoit tears off Raven's shirt and chops away. Raven chopped back into the corner and simply collapses and rolls to the floor. Benoit gets a baseball slide and heads to the floor. Raven gets whipped to the steps. Benoit stalks Raven around the ring. Benoit finally catches up and gets another chop.

Raven takes a snap-suplex on the ramp and sells it like he's dead. Benoit rolls Raven back to the ring. Back in the ring and Benoit gets another suplex on the chair. Chair stomp by Benoit. Benoit now hits the diving headbutt onto the chair on to Raven but knocks himself out too. Benoit rolls over for a hell of a nearfall. The crowd totally bought it. :P

Back up, Benoit tries a Northern Lights Suplex but Raven kills him with a DDT to counter. Oddly, Benoit gets a cover first, for only two. Raven pulls Benoit up for the Raven's Effect but gets countered into the Crossface and passes out instead of tapping out while laughing and smiling the whole time.

Winner: Chris Benoit

I'm kind of hard pressed to rate this. I'll give it a solid *** and call it a damn fine match. Both guys worked thier asses off and pulled out some good stuff, especially the couple of nearfalls towards the end. Very good work.

No Way Out 2003- Triple H © w/Ric Flair vs. Scott Steiner- World Heavyweight Title

This, as we all know, is the rematch from Scotty and Hunter's "famous" Royal Rumble match from earlier in the year.

This isn't going to be pretty....

Lockup, Scott gets an armbar and works Hunter down. He spins out into a hammerlock and works him down to the knees. Hunter goes to the eyes to break and Scott takes a turnbuckle smash. Hunter with punches but Scott gets a kick to the injured thigh to escape. Scott attacks the thigh, but Hunter counters out and punches away in the corner. Scott counters and whails away. Scott with the ten-punch in the corner, but gets dropped into an atomic drop. Scott powers through with a clothesline. Muscle-flex elbow followed by some pushups. Scott goes back to the thigh, but Hunter escapes to the ropes and kicks him off. Scott gets a kick and an elbowdrop, staying on the thigh.

This is not what Scotty should be trying right now. Hunter can't sell and Scott can't work, so working over a body part is asking for boredom.....

Scott continues kicking away at the thigh. Scott with a sloppy leglock but Hunter punches out. Scott continues after it, smashing Hunter's thigh on the ring apron as we get a gigantic "Steiner sucks!" chant right now, and I smile.

Back in and Scott gets a t-bone and locks in a figure four. From the floor Flair reaches in and wrakes Steiners eyes to end that blasphemy. Scott chases Flair and punches him. Hunter gets a clothesline that sends Scott to the stairs as he attempts to come back in.

This thing is a fucking travesty....

Scott attempts to slide back in only to get kicked. Hunter gets another kick in. Hunter distracts Hebner as Flair interferes with a kick. Scott eats some steps and gets thrown back in. Hunter with a swinging neckbreaker for two. Hunter with mounted punching. Hunter with more punches and Scotty tastes the buckle.

Slugfest now, Hunter ducks a clothesline and gets a neckbreaker for two. Shoulder thrusts in the corner, Scott slugs his way out. Hunter gets a knee to the gut to stop it. Whip countered but Hunter catches Scott with a kick as he sets early. Clothesline attempt countered with a belly-to-belly from Scott. In the corner Scott continues to slug and pound away much to the delight of.... well... no one, actually.

Hunter whipped across and he gets the boots up on a charge. Cover with rope assistance for a long-ish two. Hebner sees it and throws Hunter off. Hebner goes nose to chest with Hunter and gets shoved. Scott, recovered, goes back to the clubbering and gets a backdrop before getting more crappy clubberin' in the corner. This is awful..... *cries*

Some more shit happens and Scott gets a side belly to belly for two. Scott with even more clubberin' in the corner. Whip across blocked, Scott kicks him and gets it. Hunter bumps over the top and hits the barricade. Scott follows and Hunter eats post.

Inside Scott gets more clubbering and a belly to belly for two. Hunter muscled to the top, and if Scott uses the Frankenstiener I'll mark out.... :D Instead its just a crappy suplex. Scott covers for two.

Flair jumps in and pulls Scott off at the last second. Scott now with the Steiner-Recliner. Can we just end it now? Please?

Here comes Randy Orton, Scott clubs him off the apron. Scott to the floor and he clotheslines Batista. I never thought I'd see someone that made Batista look good....

:(

Batista eats some steps. Flair gets clubbered. Scott back in, Hunter tries the Pedigree but gets clubbered a whole bunch instead and gets clotheslined over the top. Orton tries a crossbody but misses. Scott clubbers him and throws him over the top onto Batista. Hebner finally tosses out Flair, Orton and Bats. Hunter with a sledgehammer shot, as Hebner's distracted. Scott kicks out to a chorus of boos. Some people have taste....

Finally, to end this atrocity, Hunter nails the Pedigree for three.

Winner: Damn sure not us......

-******************************- I feel like I've been anally violated with a hot samaurai sword. Botched abortions look better than this match. They're probably more fun too.

You forgot to mention that Estrada took the blow across his head (jammer situation), and it either legit injured him, or it might've been kayfabed.

Weird... Edge went from silent guy to guy that won't shut up.

Is that right? Wow, I turned the video off after the end of the match and I guess I didn't hear about Estrada being legtimately injured.

WWF RAW- Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Big Van Vader

I don't know the real specifics behind this one, but Bret Hart's on commentary so it's before Survivor Series, for sure.

Tieup to start, Austin escapes. Another one and Austin does the same. Third tieup, Vader gets some punches in and does his thing in the corner. I've always thought those shots looked particularly nasty...

Austin goes down, Vader picks him up and keeps clubbering away. Shortarm clothesline and Austin's down. Vader with a whip and a mid-ring splash. Another whip, clothesline ducked and Austin gets the Lou Thesz press. Austin with stomps and rights and Vader falls to the floor. Austin follows with a running doublesledge from the apron.

(CLIPJOB- Thanks to Best Of RAW)

We're back with Vader in control with a headbutt. A double feature shows Austin getting staired by Vader during the "break". Vader continues with the pounding and the clubbering. Austin gets tossed to in with the humanoids, Vader follows with a chairshot. Austin brawls his way back with punches and a clothesline. Austin punches away and Vader rolls back inside. Whip reversed and Vader gets a mid-ring splash. Vader-Bomb attempt in the corner but Austin counters with a lowblow. Austin now with a flurry of punches, Austin tries to maneuver Vader for a clothesline but takes a backdrop to the floor.

Its now that Hart leaves the announcer position to chopblock Austin's knee, drawing the disqualification on Vader.

3/4*- Pretty much the highest star grade I could give to a match like this. It's just a simple brawl with a disqualification ending. Take it or leave it.

blow.

Naw, I'm pretty sure this was mid to late November 1996, after the Survivor Series (it was held around Nov 10 that year, I believe). The Series was Round One of their feud, so things were just beginning to simmer.

Coincedentally, this episode of RAW is airing on 24/7 this month.

I meant 1997 SS, actually.

It's before the 1997 Rumble, they mention Hart and Austin both being in it and they hype the Undertaker/Vader match.

King Of The Ring Qualifier- WWF Superstars 1993- Tatanka vs. Giant Gonzales

This has already been review elsewhere in this forum, but I'm going to take a bit of a crack at it myself.

A few notes before this review begins:

* Gonzales' airbrushed on asscrack disturbs me.

* I'll never understand Tatanka's red hair- it's ugly.

* Harvey Whippleman sure got stuck with some real losers; Adam Bomb? Kwang? The Heavenly Bodies? But Gonzales is easily the worst of them.

Gonzales is off and running with a big overhead forearm. Gonzales picks Tatanka up and does it again. Gonzales with a choke and a shove into the corner. Crappy knees and choking in the corner by Gonzales. Tatanka shoved hard into the corner. Gonzales with more knees and clubbing. More choking.... Tatanka whipped in, he gets booted. Gonzales taunts, and I notice what may be airbrushed pubic hair on Gonzales' outfit. Tatanka with an eyerake now, finally he gets some damn offense in with some punches. Tatanka with some kicks to the thigh. Tomahawk Chop off the top doesn't knock Gonzales down. Tatanka gets a second one, still not knocking Gonzales down. A third tomahawk chop is countered into a really shitty chokeslam. Gonzales with a bunch of choking that draws the disqualification to finally put this dog to sleep.

Winner: Whose God did I kill? :(

-***- For a five minute match it was excruciatingly bad. Lets put it like this, this match was a crappy craptastic crappy craptastical craptacular crap match.....

WCW- Main Event- Cactus Jack vs. Tom Zenk

Lockup, clean break by both men. Lockup, Cactus with a side-headlock. Zenk tries to spin out, but gets headlocked again. Zenk escapes, into the ropes and takes a shoulderblock. Lockup, Cactus gets a headlock takedown. Both men back up and Cactus is whipped off and Zenk gets shoulderblocked. Cactus charges and gets drop-toeholded. Zenk works in an armbar. Cactus fights out, whips Zenk off and gets a knee. What the Hell? Now the clip ends.....

Winner: Unknown

I can't rate this, there wasn't a full match here. Going by what I've seen so far; DUD.

Coliseum Video- Undertaker w/Paul Bearer vs. Kona Crush w/Mr. Fujji

This one's going to messier than a blind Canadian eating a burrito.....

Both guys start out nose-to-nose. 'Taker non-chalantly walks away, Crush jumps him with some forearms to the back. Crush with punches and a leaping elbow to the neck. 'Taker whipped in, he catches Crush with his sick jumping DDT. For some reason 'Taker lays there before doing his zombie sit-up. 'Taker with the jumping elbow that always misses...... and he misses, but sits up immediately. Crush with a clothesline, 'Taker goes over the top and lands on his feet. 'Taker's hangman spot as he's stalking Fuji. They never learn......

'Taker comes back in and gets the rope walk. Back up and a clothesline can't knock Crush down. 'Taker wrecks when Crush avoids a second one. 'Taker knocked to the floor off a sidekick. Crush with a crappy leaping sledge. 'Taker eats barricade, and takes a blatant chairshot. Crush with a running chairshot to the throat/chest. Crush continues his boring working over with punches. 'Taker back in, Crush keeps up the boring... I mean beating with some pseudo karate kicks, followed by a rather impressive axe kick that knocks 'Taker down. 'Taker back up, Crush wins a slugfest and feeds 'Taker some turnbuckle.

'Taker no-sells it and goes to some choking in the corner. Crush whipped across, he catches'Taker with an elbow on the charge, Crush gets a backbreaker. 'Taker again no-sells and zombies up. Crush gets a kick and then presses 'Taker above his head before dropping him. 'Taker zombies up, but gets legdropped. 'Taker back up again. 'Taker with a flurry of kicks and punches, and his big clothesline. Crush whipped in; 'Taker no-sells a kick when he sets early.

Crush with a Tombstone attempt (wha?), but 'Taker floats down behind and hits his own for the pin.

Winner: Undertaker

Rating: *1/2- About the best match you could expect from this combination. 'Taker was his usual self, and Crush looked pretty solid too. It's not great, but it's not painful. At least it was somewhat energetic. Take it or leave it.
