In a match featuring Tomko and Bernard, and Angle is the weak link in the match? Oh, how times have changed.

Even reading the results that I did, I got the impression that Angle was more of a prop in the match than anything else.

No I haven't seen it yet. I might later this weekend. It's up on DVDVR in the matches section.

My opinion on the Angle tag match is that he was not very prepared for what was expected of him, but it was ok because they didn't give him much. I still don't see anything great about Tomko, but Bernard is fucking awesome. Bernard and Nagata made the match very good to me, while Tomko was his usual self and Angle looked to be trying to get used to what they were going for. I think this was testing the waters for the eventual Nagata vs Angle one on one match which they've already strongly hinted at. Angle, while he is obviously a shell of what he was, is usually better in singles matches to me. So I look forward to Angle vs Nagata in a few months.
And say what you will about Angle, he put in way more effort here than Lesnar.

The next series of shows are coming up starting Saturday I think. Some of the big matches on this tour are a tournament for Tanahashi's next title defense and Bernard/Tomko challenge for the tag titles and I expect them to win.

I would consider this to be good news. It is great to see how Bernard and Tomko have turned their careers around since leaving WWE.

I would imagine that Tanahashi/Nagata should be fairly decent.
