So I have Sunday night and Monday night off. I'm hoping to feel motivated enough to do some Mexico and UK.

That's cool. Remember, quick results (like the Hawaii results) are acceptable.

Quick results for NEW Blizzard, for January 8th 2007!

I just got back from the Blizzard tapings, it was a good time. The arena was packed and hot for most of the action.

Dark matches:
Ron Killings beat Brian Kendrick
Ace Steel beat Jerrelle Clark
Carlito beat Frankie Kazarian

JBL and the Cabinet had an in-ring celebration for JBL unifying the NEW and CSW titles at Starrcade. JBL introduced his new Secretary of State, Alex Shelley! Shelley cut an anti-CSW promo. This brought out the CSW guys, Aries and Strong both wanted a piece of Shelley. Eric Bischoff then came out and made Joe/Corino vs. JBL/Shelley as tonight's main event. Aries and Strong didn't like this announcement and chased Bischoff out of the arena.

The Rock and Booker T beat Kid Kash and Rene Dupree in an entertaining match. I felt kind of bad for Kash, he got saddled with that awful rascist gimmick and now he's being buried because the creative team screwed up. Still, a fun match that ended with The Rock rolling up Kash for the win.

James Gibson arrived at the arena and attacked Chris Jericho from behind. Gibson was furious that Jericho ruined his opportunity at the NWA title at Starrcade.

Petey Williams squashed Shark Boy. Boring match, but the crowd loved the Canadian Destroyer.

The Rock cut a promo about how annoyed he is that JBL and Corino have forgotten him. The Rock is still mad at how the Cabinet put him on the shelf for a few weeks and promises to become the NEW Champion at No Leaf Clover.

Rhino defeated Ric Flair by DQ in a really good match! Dreamer and Siaki ran in, bringing on the disqualification. After the match, Flair announced that Siaki and Dreamer are his new friends and running buddies, and they are a force to be reckoned with.

Rob Van Dam and the Dudley Boyz beat Edge and America's Most Wanted. The match was surprisingly dull, but it advanced both feuds. I'm not really sure where this Duds/AMW feud is going, but oh well. The Dudleyz hit the 3D on Wildcat Chris Harris to win, though Edge and RVD kept brawling.

Steve Corino cut an excellent, heart felt promo about how angry he is that he lost his CSW Championship to JBL of all people. Corino vows to make things right by defeating JBL at No Leaf Clover.

Steve Corino and Samoa Joe beat JBL and Alex Shelly in an excellent match! The crowd was hot for this one, and the action was all over the place. Shelley is a welcome addition to the NEW roster, as the crowd gave him tons of heat. Corino ended up hitting the Old School Expulsion on JBL for the victory, which made everyone happy.

Harry Smith d. Arik Cannon-
It was a good opener, but Smith was obviously winning (68/42/94)

Bill Alfonso comes out with Sabu. They surprised the world last Sunday night at Starrcade. Sabu made it known that he is World Champion material. And since the jackass that used to run Midwest couldn't appreciate that, Sabu never got to showcase his talent. But now, since there's no one to hold down the Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal Maniac, they're going to make a statement. No longer will Sabu wait for the NWA Midwestern Heavyweight Championship. He's better than that. Alfonso brings out the Extreme World Championship. He'll defend it against anyone, under any circumstances. ESPECIALLY that coward James Gibson. Sabu issues an open challenge to the NEW Boston Harbor Champion. Whenever you want, Wherever you want. In Midwest, in NEW -IT DOESN'T MATTER. Sabu is just that Extreme. (70)

Balls Mahoney vs. Nick Dinsmore-
They were accompanied to the ring by their tag partners. Balls put his guts into the match, but Dinsmore is a bit more conditioned, and slapped Balls around for the win. (65/61/69)

CM Punk makes his way out. He got Claudio Castagnoli off of his coat tails, and he's taking his chance. He's challenging Sabu. Sabu wants any and all challengers, well Punk will be the first. And after he wins, he'll then do what any wrestler worth his salt would do and challenge the REAL champion. (70)

Raven vs. Delirious-
Before the match, Raven announces that he wants to face someone on Saturn's "Mental level" before their match at MCM this Sunday. Of course, Delirious loses. Saturn comes on screen afterwards and tells Raven to remember that Detroit is one of the most dangerous cities in the world. (71/70/72)

Benoit is backstage in a pre-recorded message holding his belt over his shoulder. He holds out his hand. He counts the eliminations in order. Kurt Angle, then William Regal, then Chad Collyer. Three guys who had claimed they were the greatest in NWA Midwest. And Benoit has silenced them all. He's the champ, and he's the champ for a reason. He's the best. And Sunday night at Massacre, he'll prove it in a Last Man Standing match against Kurt Angle. And maybe after that Kurt will shut up once and for all. (79)

Axl Rotten vs. Rob Conway
They're wrestling just as their partners did earlier tonight. Conway wins after Ken Kennedy interferes. This brings out The Sandman, who tells Kennedy & LOTR that Sunday night He'll be waiting in the ring with the Chair Swinging Freaks. It'll be Canes & Chairs versus Kennedy & LOTR. (65/58/73)

Matt Striker is backstage. He tells the fans he won't let them down Sunday night. He's going to go the distance and walk away the NWA Midwest X Division Champion.(78)

William Regal vs. Jerry Lynn
Regal nearly loses, but regains control and then uses the knucks to gain a victory.(71/62/80)

The Brits tear into The Naturals for losing to the Hardy Boyz of all people. They beat AMW, but couldn't take the Hardy Boyz? They can't even spell, much less wrestle. It's good for the Brits, though, as they got the chance to create a strategy to beat the Naturals this Sunday at Motor City Massacre (65)

CM Punk vs. Sabu Extreme World Championship Match (unsanctioned)
Two heels in the match, but Punk is playing face. He had the balls to challenge Sabu, will he be able to take him on? The two lock up. The crowd loves it, as they've been wanting to cheer Punk. The match goes well until Benoit runs in. He steps on the apron and holds up his belt. Both Punk and Sabu stop the match to see what Benoit's going to do. Benoit declares Sabu a coward. He says Angle is gutless no-show as usual. Punk asks "What about me?" Benoit tells Punk he better check his trunks, because he seems to be getting a bit big for them. Punk takes a minute to shake his head, and before Benoit can say what he wants to Sabu, Punk attacks. The crowd goes banana! Sabu stands back. He then goes after Punk. The crowd boos. Benoit & Sabu oddly double team Punk before Angle comes down for the save. The match is thrown out. (72/62/82)

I'm stoked because I've finally got a chance to at least put out a legitimate shot at an interpromotional feud, even if there isn't a chance for a payoff for a long time

NWA: New England Wrestling
Monday Night Blizzard
January 15th 2007

The fallout from No Leaf Clover and the road to Subzero starts now! Tonight's main event is NEW Champion JBL against Samoa Joe. JBL has been forced to put the title on the line, just days after No Leaf Clover!

Eric Bischoff opens the show by making his way to the ring, along with his bodyguard, Hardcore Holly. Bischoff announces that at Subzero, there will be a Royal Rumble match to determine who will face the NEW Champion at Wrestlemania 23!

Best of Seven series, match four:
Frankie Kazarian (2) vs. Matt Sydal (1)

These two just duked it out in a cage at No Leaf Clover, so they sell their injuries from the match. They hit each other hard enough to reopen the wounds suffered in the cage, making this match a bit more memorable then the other Blizzard encounters. With Chris Hero finally gone from NEW and not present to interfere, Sydal is able to pick up the victory after a corkscrew plancha, finally tying the series.
Winner: Matt Sydal @ 6:44 (78/69/87)

Mick Foley comes out to the ring for an interview, but on his way to the ring he is jumped by Ric Flair, and his new associates, Sonny Siaki and Tommy Dreamer. The crowd chants "Rhino" as the trio destroys Foley. They drag Foley into the ring, where Siaki puts him down with the Siakalypse. They then set up a table, and allow Tommy Dreamer to put him through it with the Dreamer Driver. With Foley unconcious, Flair puts him in the Figure Four, and Siaki grabs Foley's limp arm and forces him to tap. (100%)

Sonjay Dutt vs. Ace Steel
Steel is still proud of himself for blinding Chris Sabin several weeks ago. Steel dominates the match, with Dutt getting some token offense in here and there. Steel gets a little overconfident, and decides he is going to blind Dutt the same way he did Sabin. The referee recognizes this and tries to pull him away from Dutt, but Steel just shoves him down. This is when Xavier runs in and hits the X-Breaker on Steel! The ref acknowledges the interference, but doesn't care. Dutt covers Steel and the ref happily counts to three, giving Dutt the upset victory!
Winner: Sonjay Dutt @ 5:34 (77/69/85)

Backstage, the Dudley Boyz are pumped up for their return match against the Basham Brothers for the NEW Tag Team Championship. They are more than a little ticked off that they had to wait so long for their rematch. (73%)

NEW Tag Team Championship:
The Basham Brothers © (with Orlando Jordan) vs. The Dudley Boyz

This is a solid outing from both teams, though the match is a bit by the numbers. The Dudleyz hit all of their key spots, including WAZZUP and the Bubba Bomb. Unfortunately Orlando Jordan distracts the referee so that Alex Shelley can run in and interfere. The Bashams also pull a switcheroo and retain the titles. The switcheroo was not planned at first, but Danny suffered a legitimate injury. Afterwards, the three healthy Cabinet members begin to put a beat down on the Dudleyz, until Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, Samoa Joe, and Steve Corino make the save.
Winners and still the Tag Team Champions: The Basham Brothers @ 8:17 (83/85/80)

Backstage, Alex Shelley is laughing at all the pain he has caused his former CSW buddies. Shelley says that he knows that all four of them want a piece of him, but there just isn't enough Shelley to go around. Shelley says he is willing to face one member of the CSW group at Subzero, but they have to decide amongst themselves on who gets a shot at him. (86%)

Chris Jericho vs. D'Lo Brown
Jericho is pissed off that he didn't win the Boston Harbor title at No Leaf Clover, and it shows as he destroys Brown in a short match. Afterwards Jericho cuts a promo claiming that he is sick of Gibson and his BS and that he will get revenge by winning the Royal Rumble. Gibson comes out and responds by saying he is also in the Rumble, and intends on winning it.
Winner: Chris Jericho @ 4:00 (87/89/83)

Eric Bischoff announces that The Rock and Booker T have both been entered into the Royal Rumble. He says that even though they are friends, it is going to be every man for himself. To set the tone, he makes a match between the two of them for Blizzard next week. (92%)

Edge comes out to the ring and cuts an over the top cocky promo. He explains why his brother, Christian, helped him win over Rob Van Dam at No Leaf Clover. When Christian was still in NEW, they were enemies, but they have now settled their differences. Christian is quite happy in the Mid-Atlantic and is thankful to Edge for freeing him from the "shackles of NEW." Edge says that he wouldn't be happy in M-A, so he will remain an NEW star, but the "Edge and Christian Dynasty" lives on! (90%)

NEW World Championship:
John Bradshaw Layfield © vs. Samoa Joe

All members of The Cabinet and CSW have been banned from ringside. This match turns out to be hard hitting and improves on the matches these two had last year. Joe breaks out his "ole, ole" kicks again to huge pops. This turns into a legit main event level attraction brawl as they destory each other with stiff shots and kicks. JBL hits the Clothesline from Hell, but Joe somehow kicks out of the cover attempt. Things get desperate and the referee is accidently knocked out. JBL gets a chair and tries to hit Joe with it. Joe counters and ends up hitting the Muscle Buster. Joe makes the cover, but the referee wakes up and sees the chair. The referee disqualifies Joe! The crowd breaks into a "Bullshit" chant.
Winner by DQ: JBL @ 17:34 (88/92/81)

President Rowe finishes the show by announcing Joe vs. JBL in a return match for the title at Subzero, this time in a street fight!

Overall: 85%
