Wow, Morishima defeats Homicide tonight for the title. I was initially baffled, and then pissed, and now looking forward to the HUGE potential setups this has, not just in the States, but all over the world.

And its good that a fucking Godzilla-like Monster beat a little Latino midget.

Wow, I'm surprised.

Well, not totally, I mean Homicide is a TNA regular as well, but I wouldn't expect Morishima to win.

I'm too hefty for my slacks. The zippers off it's tracks. I've stretched it to the maa-a-a-a-x.

That's why Morishima lost to Joe the night before. It sets up a Morishima/Joe title match now.

But Joe is done with ROH after like, 3 more shows.

I know. It's so that Morishima can get his win back and move on. Plus, this will probably help them when they run their shows in Japan.

I wouldn't be surprised if they make Morishima their unbeatable monster, with him running over everyone. Then in a few months, they have Joe back for "one night only", and he takes the title from Morishima and returns it to ROH.

ROH needs a good tournament, it would be fun. I'm just a tourney mark though.

I gotta say, the decision to unify the Pure Title looks even stupider now, if they may not have the ROH World Title for all of their shows. The Pure Title could've taken the main event spot it deserves when Morishima couldn't make smaller shows.

This was a bad move on ROH's part.

This was a bad move on ROH's part.

How so? Because now a wrestler that actually wrestles in front of more than 1100 people has the title? This is a really smart move for ROH.

I think it was good/bad. Bad in that he's just too big for the current RoH regulars to match up well with. Plus it's another short term reign if I had to guess. Good in that he has more charisma and starpower than most of the RoH guys currently.

I think ultimately it's going to be good. I can see Morishima putting someone over who would actually need the rub to get the title.

The only problem I have is that Morishima just wasn't that established stateside. Hell, maybe even in Japan. Does he have any major titles in his career?

I just think if they wanted to make the move, they should've done it with KENTA, who they've pimped up to be a god anyway.

See, at this point KENTA would be cool, but it wouldn't work like Morishima.

First off Morishima is something at ROH has never had as a champion. He's basically a superheavyweight. He was established the night before by beating Joe so there goes that. Morishima is established to the point where he should be in line for the GHC, which I can see him getting if this ROH title run works.

Yeah, I do agree with that. KENTA couldn't play the same role that Morishima can play, just because of their respective body builds.

Like I've said: I like it, I'm just still a little shocked.

Amidst all of the shock surrounding the switch, I haven't heard shit about the workrate. I read that Briscoes v Generico/Steen was about ***1/2 and Match of the Night.

I've haven't seen any snowflakes for Morishima/Cide, but from what I've heard it sounded pretty damn good.

It's shit like this actually that makes me want to get back into ROH again.

Also, this doesn't effect my interest level in RoH at all. I had no interest before and have none now. I can't think of a single person on the roster currently that would peak my interest at all. Maybe Preston Quinn but the bots would never accept the old school non-flashly style of offense he has.
