So I've heard decent things about it. More southern based, less flip flop crap, less smug than RoH. I looked over some of the shows and saw they do use some of the southern based talents that I enjoy like Sal Rinauro, Seth Delay and Kory Chavis.

So is it actually really different or is it really just the same RoH stuff that I don't like with some slightly different wrappings?

I've only seen the first two shows (I have two more that I've yet to sit down and watch) but they both came across as ROH in a different wrapper. A lot of the same stars, a few guys who probably wouldn't cut it in ROH, and smaller crowds.

I would say that it's slightly different. The ROH guys are still ROH guys, and FIP houses guys that aren't quite ready for the ROH roster yet.

Sounds like I'll put it in the avoid category then.

The first two shows are quite a bit of fun. There is mayb 15 people in the audience for Emergence Night 1 (they commentators keep reminding us that the show was held during a hurricane).

There were more people at Night 2, and the hurricane excuse is still in play, even though there is a lengthy brawl outside of the building.

I found Night 2 to be tremendous fun, especially the escalating mischief that CM Punk pulls.

I'm just a disgruntled fan right now because the fed I really like is NWA Virginia and they stopped doing their net show and haven't released shit on DVD.

I've seen the first two FIP shows, that Rowe mentioned and I hated them. Even when I was into ROH hardcore, I still hated both of them.

Really? Night 2 was fun and actually had some good wrestling on it. What did you hate about it exactly?

I mean, I know those shows aren't wonderful or anything, I'm just not sure if "hate" would be warranted.

Shit, it's been awhile since I've seen them. I just remember the cards being balanced pretty poorly and the pace of the shows were terrible.

But to be fair, I haven't seen any FIP since.

It doesn't surprise me that the pacing would be bad. I've rarely found RoH shows to have a good pacing as far as card placement goes. But I find that to be a very common problem with the current independent scene. Everyone tries to have a ***** match and it makes it so you don't get any breathers during the shows.

The idea seems to be a more family based, Southern style version of ROH. It's quite a bit of fun for me, but then again I'm real big on ROH. They have a tendency of trying shit out in FIP before bringing it to ROH.

Holy shit. Long time no post man.

I might try it in the future but I do like NWA Anarchy quite a bit and might just stick with their weekly net show for the time being.

Yea, I'm trying to come back round here more often. You guys are a lovable bunch of blokes. Espectially you, with you're hating of my favorite fed in a way that doesn't make me hate you. By the way, I used to keep up with Anarchy. Who's lighting it up over there now? I haven't seen it since the days of the Lost Boys.

Dan Wilson, the old announcer went heel during the changeover from Wildside and formed the Devil's Rejects. This group is made up of Tank, Iceberg, Shawn Tempers and a few newer guys. So they're basically a group everyone hates. They were doing some awesome television over the summer as the feuds were excellent and the show was highly focused.

Quite a few new guys on the show but the top guys currently are Chad Parham, Jeremy V, Ace Rockwell, Jeff Lewis and Slim J. Slim J has also changed up his style quite a bit. He's a little more well rounded and not a total spot monkey now. They've played it up as him suffering a back injury and having to employ a more grounded style.

EDIT: Dan Wilson is an awesome heel manager BTW.

The Devil's Rejects is an awesome name lifted from an awesome movie. Slim J with more than just high flying sounds delicious to me. Maybe I should get back up on that.
