Seriously, I hate making a new topic for a one line comment, but everyone that wins is usually called out for cheating, gets busted with a positive test, then points a finger at Lance Armstrong, who doesn't say he didn't cheat, he says he never tested positive. Lather, rinse, repeat.

To quote Kenny Powers again: "I play real sports, not try to be the best at exercising".

I'd say the Tour de France gets so much attention because it's something everybody could (potentially) do. Everyone has a bike. Sure, we can't bike as far or an intense as the actual racers do, but this is the one time a year BIKING gets the spotlight. Some of the same appeal that golf has.

I'm not one of those guys who wears Power Ranger spandex and a helmet to bike 2 miles, but I enjoy biking. A lot. That said.... I personally don't give a shit about the Tour De France and I can't think of another bike race.
