Anybody else watch the Monday Night Denver/Oakland game? I'm sorry for us. Such bad football.

Darren McFadden seems to immediately hit his stride as soon as he gets the hand-off. I didn't think the holes were that big, but he was accelerating through them and hitting top gear after two steps.

Kyle Orton running a play-action, then simply dropping the ball, may end up being the quintessential play of the Donkeys' 2011 season. Fans are screaming for Tim Tebow... but I really don't see how that will help their defense, offensive line or running backs. "Tebow can run". So? As soon as the other team finds out that your RUNNING BACKS can't (which will be after about 5 plays), your supposedly mobile QB won't make a difference.

I was slightly disappointed in Von Miller. He caught my attention during his time at A&M, and on his first official NFL play he forced a fumble. But after that, little-to-no mention.

I think Denver fans are stupid to think Tebow would be better than Orton. Orton is a solid game manager. He can set up some long, time consuming drives. That's going to keep Denver in more games than Tebow being a disaster would.

The Donkeys can't set up long, time-consuming drives if they can't run. Orton, Tebow, or Brady Quinn...it doesn't matter who's back there. Orton made some bad throws on Monday night, though, so the Cult of Tebow has become very vocal.

Yes, Donkey fans are stupid. Bitching about the quarterback situation, regardless of who's on the team, is a time-honored tradition. Going back to the 60's. Fans like to think they always loved John Elway and everything was wonderful during his years. Not so. People HATED him until probably 1991 or so (when he began running with his head down and steamrollered the Vikings' Joey Browner).

Fans were always calling for Gary Kubiak to step in (or even Ken Karcher or Scott Stankavage). A common joke was: "what do John Elway and the Pope have in common? They're the only two who can make 75,000 people stand up and say: JESUS CHRIST!" It wasn't uncommon to be watching a Donkey game, see them go three-and-out on their opening series, then hear several fans say: "fuck it, put Kubiak in!" They weren't trying to be funny, either. Or nevermind that two of those three plays were 1 yard runs by Sammy Winder.

In 2006, when the team was folding down the stretch, people actually thought putting Jay Cutler in over Jake Plummer was a great idea. Yet the defense had just given up 5 or 6 90+ yard drives to frickin' Trent Green and the KC Chefs the previous week. Nope, a new QB would solve everything!

Cleveland is 2-1 after a come from behind win on the Fins. I'm happy yet annoyed with them. Cleveland should be 3-0 right now and of this team goes anywhere that loss to Cincy will end up costing them at some point.

I am stunned the Bills beat the Patriots and are now 3-0

Course the Jets (my favorite team) lose to the Raiders during the 4:15 games so they can't take advantage

And I am glad michael Vick is hurt again. As an animal lover, I hope he never plays again. Yes he spent time in jail, but he deserved a harsher sentence IMO

And Ihate when people bring up Dante Stallworth. Stallworth should have gotten a long more time too, probably life in jail. But just because he did not get more time doesn't mean Vick didn;t also. They both did

I hate Stallworth but in his defense, the pedestrian was at fault in that accident.

Donkey fans now have what they want:

-John Elway's back on board as figurehead.

-This week, the NFL okay'ed the team's request to make their alternate orange jerseys the primary uniform.

-Tim Tebow entered today's game, went 4 for 10 and still showed that he'd rather pull the ball down and run instead of trying to read a defense. But the fans don't care! He's their man and will fix all.

Oh, the defense still sucks and has since November 2006. Changing your QB all you want won't make a lick of difference if the defense sucks. I think Vince Lombardi said that.

Oh-oh, fuck the orange jerseys. I hated that as the primary color as it reminded me of three Super Bowl blowouts and the biggest upset loss in the team's history in January 1997.

I'm enjoying my new season of "freedom". Didn't feel compelled to watch any NFL games this weekend. Watched Arizona State and Oregon at a bar on Saturday night, though.

Saw this morning that the Donkeys want to trade Brandon Lloyd. Good idea. The guy would set the NFL record for single-season yardage if he could stay in bounds. They picked him for basically nothing about three years ago and are expected to get a draft pick for him (which they'll probably blow).

But I am a little disappointed that they're also trying to trade Eddie Royal. He's been injured, yet I think he'd be a great pick-up for any team that's interested. When Brandon Marshall left, I figured Royal would be featured more, but instead they moved him to the #3 or slot receiver.

The bastards whomped my Giants, so while they are doing well, my opinion of them for the rest of the week is rather negative. :D

Same old fucking Jets

Losing to the Broncos has ended their season

Shitty Schotty needs to go and Sanchize my fucking ass

Pick Six Sanchez has regressed this season

And Rex needs to STFU about winning the super Bowl

Right as commentators Dan Fouts and Ian Eagle were talking about "the range" of Chargers kicker Nick Novak, they cut to a shot of him relieving himself on the sideline:

Nick Novak tinkles (Yahoo! Sports)

More reasons why the kicker's spot shouldn't count on the total roster. But he's got nothing on Mark "Stink" Schlereth, who never thought twice about pissing himself during a game.

Lost in all the Tim Tebow Mania is Von Miller, who I think is making more of a difference with the defense than Tebow can with the offense.

2 weeks later and the Jets have a decent chance of making the playoffs
They have a better record than each of their 4 remaning opponents

And the Raiders have a tough schedule. I think the Broncos win the AFC West and the Jets get the 6th seed as the 2nd Wild Card

No sure thing as they are tied with the Raiders/Broncos (one of which will win the AFC West), the Titans and Bengals for the final wild card spot. The Broncos and Raiders both beat the Jets this year, so they both hold the tie breaker so no matter which one does not win the AFC West, they hold an edge over the Jets

Seems like the Donkeys have been in this situation before. Seems that San Diego always wins-out down the stretch and ends up winning the division at 8-8 or 9-7.

Seems that way, but nobody can explain this year's Donkeys. Even without Jay Cutler and Matt Forte, the Bears seemed like a team that could dominate them. The last SIX Donkey games have looked like demolitions waiting to happen. But they went 6-0. I'm never shy about my Eddie Royal appreciation, but I seriously think that his punt return TD in Oakland was the exact point that things turned around.

I remember something Jerry Glavnille said about his Atlanta Falcons, back in 1991. They were set to play the Saints in the playoffs and he said something like: "there will be times in the game where it'll look we're out of it. But as long as we have a chance at the end, we'll be okay". That's sorta' the Donkeys, since November 1. Their record defies all football logic.

As a bonus, you don't have to watch the first 3 quarters of the game. With the sun going down around 4:30 around here, that's a huge help.

Last week was great for the Jets, they won and the Titans, Raiders and Bengals all lost

Jets are now the 6th seed and control their destiny with 2 losing teams on the schedule in the remaining 3 games
