For all the grief that people give Tebow about his throwing motion and his lack of accuracy, the man knows how to lead his team to victory. 7-1 as a starter is impressive, especially with all the 4th quarter heroics |

I can't remember if I babbled about this on here, before, but Donkey Fans cream their shorts whenever a QB runs. With Tebow, they've got that. Yet it's not Tebow doing all the work during this 7-1 stretch. Demaryius Thomas has stepped up on offense, as has Willis McGahee. The defense is probably playing the best they have since the first 8 games of 2006. They've held teams to about 14 points or less, with the only real craziness happening at Minnesota. They're not the Steel Curtain or the 2000 Ravens, but they're good enough to give you a chance to win. Tebow's not fumbling after running a play-action fake ala Kyle Orton, but his team has really improved. Maybe that's his overall demeanor and sunny disposition among his teammates? Who knows for sure. |

The inexplicable season continues, as the Donkeys landed at 8-8, won the AFC West for the first time since 2005, and will host the team that beat them in their last playoff game-- the 12-4 Pittsburgh Steelers. Tebow's turned the ball over 6 times in the last two games. On paper, Pittsburgh looks like they'll eat up the Donkeys next week. If the Donkeys pull it off, it'll be one of the biggest upsets in awhile (maybe even since... Jacksonville over Denver after the '96 season). |

Steelers have a few key injuries, so I can see the Broncos pulling off the upset |

We keep hearing how "banged-up" Pittsburgh is, but you still don't win 12 games by accident. They've won in the past with less-than-stellar players. I'd say a banged-up Steeler squad is still better than the Week 17 KC Chefs. Combine that with the fact the Donkeys have played like poo and there ya' go. I want the Donkeys to win (and am five days into my "playoff beard"), but I'm realistically thinking it'll be 19-10, with Pittsburgh winning. They'll kick a buncha' field goals and get a shitty TD. |

You should have had more faith in your team. Didn't watch the game, but the Broncos advance over the Steelers in OT. I'm sure you are happy though. i did say in a prior post here that with the Steelers injuries, it would not surprise me if the Broncos won. I am surprised the Texans won considering they are on their 3rd string QB. No surprise the Saints or Giants won. I think the Saints will be the one road team to win next week over the Niners. As much as I hate the Pats (as I am a Jets fan) I can't see them losing to the Broncos. Ravens will beat the Texans and Packers will beat the Giants. |

Yay Giants!!! WOOO! Whooped the Falcons. I'm not a Broncos fan, but I am an underdog fan, was pulling for Denver to pick up the win, and it definitely turned into a nail biter. I'm surprised Pittsburgh didn't go for the game ending FG, even if it seemed like an improbable distance. Only the garbage picking, field goal kicking, Philadelphia Phenominon could make that long a FG. |

They were only on about, oh, the 50 yard line. Which makes that ridiculous "Field Goal Target Line" that CBS likes to use one of the stupidest on-screen graphics since the lighted hockey puck. I also hate when announcers (like Phil Simms today) constantly say: "I saw him hit some from 65 yards out in pre-game warm-ups!" Yes, and you also saw the quarterback toss 32 10-yard TD passes in pre-game warm-ups. In both cases THEY MEANT DIDDLY SHIT. If the Steelers line up for a 65 yard FG, their chances aren't that good. It'd be a lower trajectory, so a block is possible. Or a bad snap would enable Denver to fall on it, call timeout and kick a FG. They'd held Denver without a TD in the second half, so a potential last-play Hail Mary and then taking your chances in OT was the way to go. Heard Denver safety Quinton Carter on the radio after the game: with the new OT rule in effect, after the TD he strapped up his helmet and was thinking the defense had to hit the field. Wild ride and watching these Donkeys is like living in a two-story outhouse: you never know what they're gonna' drop on ya. |

I was still confused about the rules. I had it in my head that both teams got one posession, each, unless the defense scored on a fumble, interception, or safety until the official 'splained the rules before the coin toss. I still think, FG or TD, both teams should have one chance for a scoring drive. It's like saying in baseball, a team hitting in the top of the 10th can win on a HR, without the other team getting to bat. |

I didn't know about the first-possession TD winning an OT game until they flashed the bulleted rules on the screen. My dad thought the two-possession thing was horseshit and went outside to smoke a cigarette. As soon as he did, boom, Donkey TD. |

Shitty Schotty is gone as OC of the NYJ. Now if Sanchez does not improve next year, he should be gone too. As a Jets fan I am glad Schotty "quit". |

Before the playoffs started figured it would be Pats-Ravens with the Ravens winning and Saints-Packers. I am more surprised the Niners beat the Saints than the Giants bet the Packers. Even though the Niners were the number 2 seed, I thought The huge edge the Saints had at QB would be enough to lead them to victory. |

I'm feeling a Giants/Patriots rematch... same result, of course. I'm sorry, it's not blind love, but faith that after watching the Giants play the last few weeks, they are on fire. |

Watched both games, yesterday, but it shows how tuned out of the NFL I am because I never would've picked the Giants to go to the Super Bowl. I liked a shot FOX caught of the fieldgoal holder (the punter) running across the field with his helmet off and mouthing: "we're going to the FUCKING SUPER BOWL". It wasn't Greg Lloyd in 1996, but still got a giggle from me. |
