I honestly have so much old footage now that I always have some viewing project to keep me occupied. The current product really isn't on my radar.

Funny tidbit I remember from 2002... the No Way Out poster featured RVD on it, and I swear remembering the IWC pissing itself in anger over RVD being stuck in a meaningless match with the returning Goldust in the "undercard filler" portion of the show. I know that these are made way in advance, well before they had Hogan, Hall, and Nash signed to bring the nWo in, but still it was funny how pissed off everyone got over it.

I remember that RVD/ Goldust match being really good on that show, oddly enough. But, I've only seen it once so I might be wrong.
What "World of Warcraft" players see when they're not playing.....

Goldust was great that year in the ring so it was probably good.

I remember it being good, but since it was such a low-card attraction, it got everyones panties in a bunch. It was more everyone shitting over RVD's placement rather than quality of the match. Honestly, Goldust/Dustin Rhodes was pretty bad for a while so quality was a justifiable argument too, and he definitely started working hard again in 2002.

Picked up a crapload of WWE DVD's dirt cheap. Wal-Mart has them bundled two for $10, and FYE had some bargains too... got Ricky Steamboat's Set, the Rise and Fall of WCW, the Smackdown 10th Anniversary, Judgment Day 2009 (it was a bundle), Greatest Superstars of WrestleMania, and The Legacy of Eddie Guerrero for roughly $30. I almost bought Edge's Decade of Whatever, but I don't have to be that much of a whore.

Goldust really carried the Bookdust team in every way imaginable. Great comebacks in the ring, he carried the comedy in their sketches and he was just likable. I think the WWE really fucked up when they jobbed them at Summerslam that year.

Agreed. Goldust was used horribly, then got a 2 week push with the Tag belts, and then the electrocution/terrets thing.

Watched "Born to Controversy: The Roddy Piper Story" on Netflix. The way it shows, you'd think Piper did nothing in his career but WrestleMania matches (oh, and brain Snuka with a coconut).

I don't know if it was his treatment for cancer or what, but in all of his modern interviews, he sounds more like his "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" character rather than the RP we know.

It was produced in 2006, back when WWE was just cracking open their vaults. It's a decent way to spend 90 minutes, but I don't know if you'd want to buy the DVD.
DWS Apparel Store- Buy. Consume. Obey.

Picked it up in the WalMart $5 bin a while back... documentary is ok, better than the Bobby Heenan one at least, and it's got a nice selection of bonus matches and Piper's Pit's. For the original $20 tag... you gotta be a Piper fan.

Watching an episode of 1985 WWF Championship Wrestling. There's a segment with Hulk Hogan trying to teach Hillbilly Jim how to get in shape and it's fucking brilliant.

Been watching a bunch of random stuff from 1999, and noticed something that made me go "zuh" enough to question it...

Before WrestleMania XV, they did a Battle Royal to determine challengers for Owen and Jarrett on the PPV. I could question the Brown and Test combo winning, but the real question is what the fuck was the LOD and Paul Ellering doing out there? I thought Hawk was long gone by this point, ditto Ellering, and Animal hung around for maybe a month longer before killing off the "New LOD" thing with Droz. Other than this, I don't recall ever seeing them again. Seems odd to trot all three out there for no reason, then never use them again.

They dropped that whole angle and tried to push them seriously for about three weeks before just letting them go for good.
