Yeah. I have several incidents that really hurt my fandom.

1. Katie Vick angle in 2002.
2. Bob Sapp winning the IWGP Title in 2004.
3. Russo returning to TNA.
4. The Benoit murders.

#4 there pretty much ended my fandom for the current product single-handledly. #1 insulted me as a wrestling fan more than anything else, but I kept watching. What Benoit did really hurt in a different way, and being out of the loop for so long makes me uninterested in watching on a regular basis.

I briefly came back for 2008 ECW but Benoit effected my watching in a huge way. I've found the spark to watch again but my fandom is nowhere near it used to be. I'm still rehabbing myself in a lot of ways.

I know I've probably said this a handful of times already, but I absolutely love Warrior/Savage from WrestleMania VII, and could easily consider that one of my favorite matches ever.

I forgot, WCW closing would be a #5 reason for my fandom waning.

I am stunned sometimes to think back and realize that I survived 2002 with my wrestling fandom intact. The entire year was one gigantic turn-off. I guess it's a good thing that Smackdown became really awesome for a few months late in the year and that NWA-TNA helped me become more of a wrestling fan, not just a WWE fan.

I remember in 2003 when TNA became my promotion of choice. I distinctly remember ordering their PPV's 3 weeks out of 4 and tracking their booking choices and contract status to know who to expect to see.

Pushing through IYH It's Time. Watching all of these IYH shows in consecutive viewing has made me remember why I stopped watching wrestling by the time 1997 came around. Weak roster, bad booking choices and repetitive match ups, terrible gimmicks, bait and switches galore... it was a bad time to be a WWF fan.

Is their any contender to "worst series of matches" than what we got out of the never-ending saga between Randy Savage and George Steele in 1986-87? Maybe the modern day version would be Undertaker vs. Kane, but I'm talking old school, roughly the same time frame.

Jimmy Valiant vs. Paul Jones Army in the 1985-1986 JCP.

Actually, pick any Jimmy Valiant series of matches from that mid 80s JCP era and you might have a winner.

Andre/Studd and Hogan/Studd spring suddenly to mind, as far as bad 80's feuds go.
What "World of Warcraft" players see when they're not playing.....

I think Studd/Anyone was a pretty bad combination, but it seemed like the stuff with Andre was on-and-off for roughly 4 years. Yikes.

Edit: Not including 1989. Ew...

I would never call Studd good but he seemed to be declining by about 1983. I thought he was a good tag worker though even as the decade progressed. I enjoyed his team with King Kong Bundy and the matches with the Machines weren't awful.

I completely over-looked this one: Hercules vs. JYD. I don't recall them ever having a program, but damn if they didn't have to wrestle each other on the house show circuit at least once every six months.
