The board actually auto-corrected me typing nWo into "now." |

Autocorrect is why I refer to the nWo as "n.W.o." in all my reviews. |

Every HHH match had to be 25 minutes in 02-04 despite the fact that he had no clue how to fill that timeslot with wrestling. Also, remember Taker squashing Jeff Hardy like a bug repeatedly on Raw but he "put him over" by raising his hand after one of their shitty matches. And then he refused to put over Lesnar. This time frame is why I still dislike the Undertaker. |

And that drove me nuts with Taker. The fans didn't want him in a main event program and they just kept putting him there. I still to this day swear that Hogan could have worked as champ if they had programmed him against anyone other than Taker. |

Taker's an odd bird. I'd say his character was stale until about 2009 or so, when he started working with Batista. Looking back at the PPV's and title reigns of 2002, I always thought Billy and Chuck had a longer stint at the top of the tag ranks. Like, well over a year. But they burned through their characters in less than 6 months. |

To be fair, that gimmick was a total one-note joke that was beaten into the ground on a weekly basis, so killing off the team by the Fall was for the best. Another 'Taker 02 angle: Making Tommy Dreamer eat his tobacco spit. What THE FUCK!? I know Dreamer was desperate for attention, but come on, have some fucking dignity. |

Billy and Chuck just felt like a year because of how obnoxiously they were pushing that gimmick at the time. |

Yeah, I kind of wish they'd left the belt on Hogan a bit longer than they did. At least give him a 3 month reign, put him on pay-per-view in carefully booked matches against better opponents, and his 28 day reign doesn't seem so weird in hindsight. I seem to remember there was a panic over the ratings at the time, and Hogan as the champion was the scapegoat. |

Undertaker really benefitted from having a reduced schedule. He's not around long enough for us to get sick of him and he's having smarter, better matches with carefully chosen opponents. |

If I remember right, Dreamer was going a "Jackass" gimmick, where he'd do gross stuff. It was supposedly his own idea, too. So Undertaker was just playing into it. I think Dreamer's pay-off for his efforts was... a Hardcore Title Reign. |

II want to think Dreamer's Jackass'ing it up was tying in with Undertaker working a sort of bully angle, but dammit if I can remember much of Raw from 2002. Not the best year for that show. If Undertaker wasn't putting on 30-minute DUD's, going over the young talent, or making them drink his spit, then you had Triple H accusing Kane of fucking a corpse and going over everyone possible (from top guys RVD and Kane, to even Buh-Buh Ray Dudley and Jeff Hardy), the stupid HLA nonsense, 3MW threatening to beat up Freddie Blassie (who was confined to a wheelchair and in his Mid 80's), and a fair share of other crap I forgot about. |

That was during the angle with Big Show that included Kanyon singing a Boy George song at him, and Brother Love making an appearance for the sake of making an appearance? |

Got the first night of the 2010 G-1 Climax tournament from New Japan. Watched Giant Bernard vs. Wataru Inoue to kick the tournament off. To give you an idea, Inoue's billed weight is 210 lbs. and that's probably a 20 lb. overbilling. So we have your typical giant monster vs. little guy. This wasn't a classic or anything but it was a really energetic opener. You know from the start that Inoue doesn't have a chance in this one but they actually built his hope spots so well that there's 2 or 3 moments where you think he might actually pull off the upset. The highlight of the match is where he finally catches Bernard with a german suplex for a nearfall. I almost gasped because I thought he was going to pull off the win. Bernard finally hit the Baldo Bomb for the win. This match really shows how misused Bernard is in the WWE. He just put a methodical beatdown in on Inoue with a few explosive moments. He just felt like a monster in this one. |

Speaking of NJPW, Tanahashi is trending on Twitter right now. That's pretty neat. |
