Even by late 70's standards that's awful. |

I mean the job stuff is better than watching Strongbow but jamming nails in your eyes is better than a Strongbow match. |

The Long Island Naussau Coliseum show seems about right for the time frame. That arena always seemed to get crappy cards, even in the 80's and 90's. The Witschi's Sports Arena show--- that was a small town venue that held under 2,000. So it's more comparable to those high school gym shows that the WWF ran up to 1988 or so. Look at some of those cards. Usually about four matches with the feature being something like Koko B. Ware vs. Dino Bravo. |

Crockett did the same thing but their job guys were typically better. I would be fine watching George South or Mike Jackson work long. But Crockett seemed to fill those spot show slots with guys that weren't really on TV but had gimmicks and sort of pushes. |

Signed up for Stardom's streaming service today. It's about $6.50 a month. Paired with New Japan's service I can follow two feds for about $15 a month. |

If you're looking for something different to get into for cheap. The Stardom product is really fun. Io Shirai is probably the best female worker in the world right now. The streaming breaks it out by match so you can just skip the shitty opening matches and go straight for the good upper card matches. |

The 1/27 New Japan house show was pretty fun. Nothing was blow away because it was just a B show but the matches were solid. I'm really looking forward to the Okada/Suzuki IWGP Title match that's coming up. |

Was watching some Mid-South today and it's still odd seeing Arn Anderson used as a jobber. |

Mid-South is fascinating to me as a promotion. There are so many guys that Bill Watts got the maximum out of who never matched that success elsewhere |

I agree. And a dozen years later, Paul Heyman started doing the same in ECW |

And interesting that they used different approaches. Heyman got them to buy into the cult and Watts antagonized greatness out of his talent. |

What ever happened to Dick Graham? After the WWF stopped doing televised house shows at the Spectrum by 89 he just vanished. |

I actually think Alfred Hayes was the absolute worst of that era for the WWF. |
