The Stalker was doomed the second he worked matches in a "WWF logo" shirt. Being a face didn't help, either. The plan indeed was to involve him in an angle with Mero/Sable, but I think they found it too uncomfortable.

If it was a year later I think the gimmick would of worked better.

It's also interesting to note that WCW business had been getting better through the first 6 months of 1996 due to the Savage/Flair program. The nWo gets a lot of deserved credit but business was just starting to pick up as they landed.

The Savage/Flair was the best thing about WCW in early 96. I can watch those 2 any day of the week.

I disagree. Windham was physically shot by this point. Too many injuries/ demons

He was pretty good a couple of years later with the West Texas Rednecks in WCW, but that was more cause of Curt Hennig

I do agree by that point Windham was past his prime but he could've got something out of that gimmick had it been a heel.

West Texas Rednecks were very entertaining. Definitely a highlight for me from that time period of WCW.

Okada/Omega got a ton of hype but I actually liked Okada/Suzuki better. It was 40 minutes of Suzuki just destroying the fuck out of Okada's leg. Probably my MOTY so far with tough competition from Okada/Omega and Styles/Cena.

New Japan has been a really fun promotion so far this year. I need to watch the 2/7 show before tomorrow's big show.

Does Jim Ross only call the show on AXS channel or does he call the major shows as well?

In the things I forgot from 2005 files, NUNZIO was the Cruiserweight Champion... don't know how I forgot that nugget.

For once, I would actually enjoy seeing a 205 Live COMING SOON segment announcing that Nunzio or Little Guido would be popping up.

I want all the underused Cruiserweight Division guys WWE had at one point or another to come back: Guido, Kid Kash, Juventud Guerrera, Super Crazy, Psychosis, Frankie Kazarian, Jimmy Wang Dang Doodle Yang, Sakoda.

Hell, I want El Dandy back. Does Super Calo still wrestle? Call him. Tinfoil mummies are awesome.

If they brought all those guys back, I'd watch 205 Live every week. And for a plus have Mike Tenay on commentary.

I'm going to a flea market next weekend that sells classic Japan wrestling VHS tapes and I was wondering if you guys could recommend any in particular to look out for? It's about time I get back into some Japan rasslin' since it's been forever.

All Japan Classics are interesting of you can find those. A lot of 70s footage and the best way to see guys like Jack Briscoe. Anything with Jumbo Tsuruta is worth your time. Anything from 1993 All Japan. The J Crown Tournament from New Japan. The 92, 93 or 95 G-1 Climax tournaments. AJW if you're willing to sit through Joshi. The Big Egg show from 93 is good.
