ECW - August 1st 2006

Live from Manhatten, New York

Extreme Rules match - Sandman and Tommy Dreamer vs Test and Mike Knox

Sandman is busted open even before he gets into the ring and in my opinion Test is one of the most underated wrestlers in the WWE. Dreamer hits a hip toss and all four men brawl all around the ring. Sandman hits a dropkick and Test and Knox double team Sandman. Sandmans gimick is just Stone Cold but without the talent to back it up. Dreamer hits a DDT and Test hits him with a kindo stick. He then hits back elbows in the corner. Dreamer hits him with a trash can and Sandman hits Knox with a kindo stick. Tommy then spanks Kelly Kellys ass and I forgot how hot Kelly Kelly was back in 2006. Heymans personal enforcers come out and throw Dreamer through a barbed wire board. Test then launches him through the board and hits a TKO to get the win. **1/4

Justin Credible vs CM Punk

At this point in Punks carear he was just debuting on ECW and before that he was in OVW. The crowd are chanting CM Punk from the start and he hits a drop toe hold and ROH chants start. Punk attempts a springboard but in mid air Credible hits a powerslam. Punk then conects with kicks and Credible hits two vertical suplexes and a northern lights suplex for two. Credible then aplies a half crab and Punk hits a kick to the head and then hits a springboard clothesline. He then hits the vintage running knee, bulldog sequence and he then hits a discuss backhand. He then aplies the Anaconda Vise to get the win. *1/2

Kurt Angle vs Brooklyn Brawler

Yes, you did read that right and obviosly this is nothing more than a squash. Angle aplies the Ankle Lock but Brawler gets to the ropes. Angle then hits a headbutt and aplies the Ankle Lock to get the win. DUD

ECW World Championship - Big Show © vs Batista

Why is Batista getting a ECW title match when he wasn't even on the ECW brand. During both mens entrances they were both getting madly bood. The crowd chant you both suck and everyone reading this proberly agrees with them and Batista starts things off with strikes and a big boot and the crowd at this point haven't stopped booing and its amusing to watch. They then chant same old s**t and Show hits a headbutt and that starts a boring chant and a change the channel chant. Show hits another headbutt and at this point the only thing stopping me turning this crap of is the crowd. Show conects with slaps in the corner and then hits a scoop slam. Batista hits a impressive suplex of the second rope and the crowd still didn't care. Batista then hits a spear and Show hits a Chokeslam for two. Normally if this was on a WWE show that would have been a great nearfall but the crowd just don't care. Batista then hits a spinebuster and Show hits him with the ECW World title belt. This causes a DQ and this annoys the crowd even more. Sabu though comes out and hits Show with a chair and the crowd are going nuts. Sabu then hits a Arabian facebuster and this stars a loud ECW chant. Sabu then hits a dropkick of the top and because Big Show was on the apron he fell through the table. *

They were out of their minds to book Batista vs. Show in the fackin' Manhatten Center. No one should have been surprised by the reaction the uber-smark NYC fans gave them. This was the last time WWE ran that building due to the ordeal this taping gave them.
