Ring Of Honor - March 15th 2014 From Philadelphia,PA Team Benchmark vs Raymond Rowe and Hanson Its nice to see that Hanson and Rowe are sticking around after the Top Prospect tourniment. Hanson starts this match off with strikes and a body slam. Rowe and Hanson double team Benchmark with a double shoulder block and a belly to belly suplex from Rowe. Hanson then hits a lovely release German suplex and Benchmark conects with strikes and Hanson hits a bi clothesline. Rowan hits a T-bone suplex and Benchmark conects with vicious knees to the head. Benchmark then hits a one handed scoop slam and a big boot. Hanson then hits a big boot and Rowe hits Death Rowe to get the win. * Kevin Steen comes to the ring but gets interrupted by Outlaw Inc. Eddie Kingston calls the fans sheep and that Kevin Steen should join Outlaw Inc. Steen declines and all three men brawl until Nigel McGinnis says one of the Outlaw Inc members will face Kevin Steen right now. Kevin Steen vs Homicide Steen starts this match of with a back splash and Homicide nails a dropkick. Steen launches him into the guardrail and hits a spinning side slam. Homicide seems really blown up and kinda out of shape and he hits a weak tornado DDT. Steen then bites him and hits a Swanton bomb of the top but only gets a two count. Steen then hits a running flip of the apron and nails a lovely pop up powerbomb. Kingston hits a rolling forearm on Steen to cause a disqualification. Steen wins and this match was prity poor considering how talented both of these men are. * ROH TV Title Tommaso Ciampa (TV Champion) vs Jay Lethal This main event and TV championship match starts off with both men brawling and Lethal connecting with chops and a hip toss. They both exchange strikes until Lethal hits a crisp enzigury and a springboard dropkick. Ciampa hits one of the craziest spots I have seen in a long time by hitting a wheelbarrow German suplex into the guardrail. He then hits a running knee to the head and on the floor Lethal hits a hip toss followed by a dropkick! Lethal hits a snap suplex and they both exchange chops in the centre of the ring. Ciampa nails a big clothesline and hits a superplex of the top rope. Lethal attempts the Lethal injection but on the apron Ciampa counters it into a awsome backcracket. That starts a "This is Awsome" chant and I will not argue that fact. Lethal hits a springboard dropkick and then hits three suicide dives. Lethal then hits a Macho Man elbow drop of the top but only gets a two count. Ciampa hits another running knee to the face and hits the White Noise on the apron. Lethal then hits the Lethal Combination and aplies the Kuji Clutch but Ciampa counters it into the Cisilian stretch. Lethal gets to the ropes and Ciampa hits Project Ciampa to get the win and to retain the TV Championship. ***1/2 Overal - 5.5/10 As usual with ROH Tv, there main event always delivers at least a three star match but the rest of the show was quite poor. I may have been expecting to much from the Steen vs Homicide match but it just was so boring to watch. I advise everyone though to watch the awsome main event. |
