WWE Main Event - June 3rd 2014 Live from Cincinati, Ohio We are live on the WWE Network or a streaming service for the UK Fans and this show kicks off with Bad News Barret, the current Intercontinental Champion making his way to the ring. He says that he beat RVD at Payback and just because RVD pinned him on RAW shouldn't mean that he gets a title shot tonight on Main Event. He disrespects RVD by calling him a member of the cast from the TV Series the Walking Dead and did a very funny impression. Van Dam comes out and conects with a kick and BNB rolls out of the ring. I enjoyed this segment and made me look forward to tonights championship match. Kofi Kingston and Goldust vs The Wyatt Family (Eric Rowan and Luke Harper) Kofi was a chosen partner by Cody Rhodes for Goldust, which has been happening since the Payback Pay Per View, where Cody claimed that Goldust needs a better tag team partner. In my opinion, I think that Cody will end up blaming Goldust and they could have a huge rivalry during the summer period. This match starts off with Rowan outpowering Goldust and both Goldust and Kofi conect with dropkicks. Goldust conects with a bulldog and Harper hits a dropkick which is very impressive if you consider the size of Harper. Harper in my opinion is the best worker out of the whole Wyatt Family because his move set, in my eyes is the best especially if you consider his size Kofi sends Harper over the top and makes the tag to Goldust who takes everyone out and hits a vintage powerslam. Rowan suprises me when he nails a awsome round house heel kick which looked freakin sweet. The Wyatt Family are now in control and the commentators have nothing better to do and just winge on about how the Wyatt Family should be the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship as they pinned the champions on RAW. Goldust hits a Canadian Destroyer, which impresses me every time and makes the hot tag to Kofi. Kofi attempts a springboard move but in mid air Harper hits a big boot, but Kofi is back on a roll and hits a springboard hurricanrana off the top rope and also runs and flips over the top rope. Kofi goes for a Trouble in Paradise but in mid air Harper hits him with a insane discuss clothesline to get the win, that's my boy Harper! Good match, so match better than it had any right to be. **3/4 RAW Rebound - Instead of seeing some live wrestling matches on a live show, they show us what happened when Seth Rollins turned on the Shield and joined Evolution! WWE Intercontinental Championship Match Bad News Barret © vs Rob Van Dam Van Dam is looking for his seventh IC title reign but he has to go through the man who he lost to two nights ago at the Payback Pay Per View. This Championship match starts off with Van Dam hitting a kick to the head and strikes in the corner. The only issue I have had since RVD made his return to the WWE is that he seems very unmotivated and just doesn't seem to give a dam. Van Dam nails a running flip of the apron and goes for a top rope move, but Bad News throws him of the top and Van Dam lands hard on the barricade, well I gues you can't land softly from that height. Barret anoys me by aplying a rear chinlock, but makes up for it by hitting a insane kick to Van Dams stomach area. He also hits a elbow drop of the second rope and RVD goes for a springboard move again but Barret stops him with a clothesline and only gets a two count. Van Dam is on the comeback and he hits a clothesline and a kick to the head. This is followed up with Rolling Thunder. Barret out of no where hits the Winds of Change, which is quickly becoming one of my favorate moves. Barret signifies for the Bullhammer but from out of no where Cesaro comes out and hits a Neutrilizer on both Bad News and Rob Van Dam! This means the match finishes as a disqualification and BNB retains his Intercontinental Championship and proberly means a triple threat match between Cesaro, RVD and Bad News Barret for the Intercontinental Championship at the next Pay Per View Money In The Bank! **1/4 Overal - 5/10 A very solid episode of Main Event with both matches getting the best possible amount of time, but without trying to sound like a winner, I would have preffered to have seen a quick five minue match instead of seeing Seth Rollins turn on The Shield, which happened on Monday, unless its a Russev match which on second thoughts I am glad they aired the promo. |

Actually sounds (and looks) like a decent little show. I was thinking about watching the RAW replay, but think I'll opt for this, instead. |
