I liked him. He was out-of-place in his 1987-1989 WWF run, and was sort of "Blackjack Mulligan LITE". Was always a little surprised that he basically disappeared from the US scene after March '89 or so.

Probably talked about this before: but one of my better house show memories was seeing him face the Blue Blazer in March '89. Sure, Owen carried it, but they put on a good "big man vs little man" match. Blazer won with a sunset flip, FWIW.
