Tell us your U11 stories! Have you run the new raids? Which are your favorite house C quests? How do you like the new crafting updates? Have you tried the new epic raids?

The raids both begin in the explorer area when you'll spend the first 30-45 minutes just getting to the raid. In both raids you have to make your way through a series of mini boss fights. They were mildy difficult on normal. The boss fights were epic even on normal and we wiped on both raids our first time out. The Lord of Blades was visually stunning and virtually impossible to go toe to toe with. We'll figure it out but with such a process just to get to the raid I can't imagine this being a popular raid. If we can shorten the proces that may change.

Rating

Visuals: A+ The visuals and landscape in these raids was simply awe inspiring. The preview platform was the baum!

Balance by difficulty: D The artificer mobs on normal are way OP with their ridiculous saves. The class is hardly known for it's saves so why did the Dev's ramped them up like a Paladins? Their bolts were pelting me for like 25 and 30 shieldblocking with a 16DR. Maybe it's just me but that means their Int modifier is like in the high 20's or 30's on Normal. The Paladins are a nice touch though and very within what would be expected.

Puzzles: B Nice but not very challenging. With exception of the end fight it took me all of a minute to figure out the puzzles in any of the new quests and raids.

Boss Fights: ? Haven't lived long enough to rate... :C A little OP but that will change once we've hatched a plan.

Replayability: D It is my impression that these raids are a bit grindy due to the length of time it takes to wade through the OP arti mobs in the explorer area and in the raid before you get to the boss. This may keep many from repeating these raids to help others once they get their wanted item. The rune arm is about it for me, I didn't pay too much attention to the forum posts about gear but nothing really stood out at me with the exception of the rune arm. I liked the raid overall but it just felt... grindy.

Thanks Jakoby for the review! I haven't tried the raids yet, and I hope the replay isn't as bad as you say it is, mainly because I'd like to try the new Alchemy crafting system that goes with it. And as we all know any crafting-raid system usually involves lots of raid grinding.
