Yes to disable traps
Yes to Aura to heal rats.

Also lesser known you can target the wolfs and what not that are below and cast BB and let them die to clear the way for the rat. May take a few BBs per mob. You can use Hirelings to do this.

Also you can use wild empathy on the wolfs and what not. And I think Imp wild empathy.

You can disable the spike traps in the mazes? Didn't know that.

The only trap you cant disable is the one spinning blade trap in the third maze that is super long.

I've found if I drop a treat three counts after a blade starts spinning that generally gets my fellow through so long as he is one segment away from it.

Nice tips though, I didn't know about the blade barrier or the empathy which I sometimes use in quests, though mostly for my amusement.

You can also use the petrify runes from the Canith Crafting on the Carcass Eaters it will stone them for 20-30 seconds but it helps.
