The shadows of a vacant alley are
the least of your worries. For some, they can provide cover and
protection from the 'Sweepers', an elite task force of military and law
enforcement assigned to collect and arrest unregistered mutants. In
these grim times, the world as we know it thrives off malice and pain.
Peace and sanctuary for all is a mute point. The stranger they come, the
more fear politicians and radicaliss’ alike preach to crowds, broadcast
over television and radios. Mutant registration is strictly enforced--
some are never seen again. Hushed word on the street says they keep the
stronger mutants for tests-- building weapons out of them, or attempting
to breed the perfect mutant. For some of us, blending in is a piece of
cake, for others...impossible.
All wars of persecution from the past seem to pale in comparison to the
day that we live in now. There is no safety in packs, no safety in like
individuals. It simply is all for ones-self or prepare for the betrayal
of your enemies disguised as friends, relatives, lovers, and all that
once seemed so familiar. Some days they say the sky has been murdered as
it hangs in a lower over cast of muddy crimson, but the sky...the sky is
just fine. It’s just stained from the nights, days, weeks...or months
before.
The civil war gave us nothing but more sorrows to mourn. A Revolution is
our only hope for our future to flourish, but the seeds of hope are
beginning to die...
● Norman Osborn has taken over
S.H.I.E.L.D. naming it H.A.M.M.E.R. and has begun his personal vendetta
against his enemies.
● President Robert Kelly has secretly teamed up with William Striker and
begins their experiments on Mutants to build the supreme being and
eventually kill said test subjects.
● Prominent S.H.I.E.L.D. members have been forced into hiding and have
been labeled as fugitives.
● Registration Act is enforced and any Unregistered Superhumans found
refusing to register will be incarcerated or shot with cure weapons if
mutants.
● Headmaster Summers and Headmistress Frost have disappeared while on a
mission.
