Oh, stop it. :P

Glad you liked the review, though. The game was fantastic, definitely one of my favorites of the year and possibly in my top ten of all time. I can't fully explain why I love it so much, it's just such an interesting experience to reflect on. I feel like I could write a paper on all the things I feel about the game.

I'm rambling. Oh well. It's a great game: go buy it.

LOL - it was an awesome review. I need to beat up and clear out a handful of other games though before I go buying any new ones for my 360. Running out of hard drive space, but so far this summer, the Xbox Summer games have been scoring well in reviews.

So... my current 360 game? Gears 3. Really, really digging it so far. :)

Any other Gears of War 3 players yet? What do you think of it? I am really enjoying it so far, though the sawed off shotguns in online mode seem a bit jacked up, but otherwise it has been really good so far.

Hey Mickey, do you have Limbo? That's one XBLA game I really, really wanted to try.

I have not, haven;t even played the demo. But I'm sure you've played it by now since it's no longer exclusive. I'm hoping it goes on sale for Holloween.:)

And is the Game of the Year Edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum worth it for the extra maps? Otherwise I'll see if I can get the original for cheap.

I... don't plan on getting Batman. I'm sure it's GOTY, but it's one of those really, really rare cases of a game that doesn't apply to any of the websites I run, and so, just like Red Dead Redemption, I just don't have time for it.

On another matter: thanks to Microsoft I now has an Xbox 360. While I'll probably use it mostly for indie games and Foxtel, I'm sure you'll see more Xbox coverage here in the future :)

I'm interested in the batman games, just haven't gotten around to them.

Thanks to Microsoft you now have a 360? There a story behind that? Also - welcome to 360-land! :)

Dude. You guys have to get around to them. Arkham Asylum was an easy Game of the Year for me, only rivaled by Assassin's Creed 2 (a game I spent so much time on I got my platinum trophy). It was a really spectacular game, and not just because it's Batman.

Arkham City looks to be more of the same amazingness, only within much larger confines and far less linear - answering complaints that we hear quite a lot these days. I haven't played much of it but it looks to be shaping up to something amazing.

You really need to try them; they're amazing games.

@tundra - I plan to, I just need to chip away my backlog further too. Good thing about having waited, is I can probably pick up the first one rather cheaply now/in the near future.

So I discovered that Xbox in Australia doesn't have Indie Games.

Well. That sucks.

On the plus side, I like the Axis and Allies game :D

I got my first "real" game on my new xbox (Bejewelled was technically my first, but this is the first substantial game). Warner Brothers sent me through a copy of Lord of the Rings: War of the North.

Given that this is the exact same formula Snowblind has been peddling since Baldur's Gate on the PS2 and Champions of Norrath, I'm really enjoying it. It's good to get back into a Lord of the Rings game.

A free copy of War in the North? That's awesome, man. I'm super jealous; I was thinking of picking it up for PC but, as a third-person perspective game, I'm worried that a controller might be better suited to the control scheme. Any thoughts on that?

You'll definately want a control pad for the game, Nick. It's a console game through and through.

I figured as much. It looked like a pretty awesome game, though it kind of fell off of my radar with bigger releases like Batman and the upcoming Skyrim surrounding it. I'll have to check it out if I can scrounge together a little extra cash.

That game does look very cool. Nice perk, getting them to send that guy to you - good stuff! Axis and Allies huh? Haven't heard of that game in aaaaages. Some buddies and I used to play that in highschool. Good way to kill a chunk of the weekend.

@IT - Oh? This was one of my canceled pre-order titles. :( What are your early thoughts on the anniversary edition?

Unfortuantely due to illness I'm only going to start playing this puppy tonight.

Let's see if this one can achieve what only Crysis 2 has managed to do this generation - make me (temporarially) interested in a FPS.
