Just in case some of you guys are thinking Calahan's being a needless hardass, there really are reasons for making as few rollbacks as possible. The main one(s) is that there are a number of bugs that can crop up with rollbacks. These tend to be fairly significant too, and can affect the game worse than the original problem. So its not just an etiquette thing, its a rule to try and make the game run as smoothly as possible. |

A message to the world. Yaquaq the deceiving one. The treacherous leader of Yomi. A leader of such low moral fiber he can not even uphold treaties made a couple of months ago. I say to the other leaders of the world to watch their backs when dealing with Yomi. Not only will he speak with a double tongue but takes great pride in his ability to lure people with false promises. Other nations who have dealings with Yomi, consider all agreements with them void as they will not be kept. The mighty land of Bogarus will eradicate Yomi. Anyone who wants a share of the riches found in the demons ashes must act swiftly. Greetings G. |

Really sorry to hear it was such a painful stale. Adding extra time to the hosting schedule won't be a problem though (I'll change the interval to 26 hours once I finish typing this) And I apologise for not mentioning why rollbacks are to be avoided, as I really should stop assuming everyone knows the reason rollbacks are a bad thing. Since it's basically what Frozen said, as rollbacks often tend to cause far more problems than they solve. Plus there's also always at least two sides to the tale, as while a rollback might prevent one player from having a bad turn (like preventing a stale in this case), another player might easily get a really bad set of random rolls when the turn is re-hosted. Which means one player had his game saved, at the cost of spoiling someone else's game. And then what happens if that latter player wants a rollback to prevent the bad random rolls that occurred the second time around that ruined his game, and which didn't occur the first time around? Does the admin then rollback yet again? As the player would have a valid point in saying that he got unfairly punished by the rollback due to no fault of his own. So rollbacks are rarely a good thing to happen in a game, and they should never ever be treated as a 'normal' part of any game. And ideally no player should ever ask for a rollback, as it is soley up to the admin to decide upon such things. Since like I mentioned above, rollbacks really are to be reserved only for use in very specific circumstances. |

HA, the "man" who is a scoundrel and knave reacts badly when the same treatment is visited upon him to be attacked without provocation. To the dealings of Yomi may I say they are an honorable people who obviously care about the injustice in the world. Their dealings are true and noble, listen not to what this betrayer and knave will say about them for he is the true enemy one should wish to destroy. |

@ All Koral / LA Ulm told me earlier this week that he is away this weekend, and isn't sure whether or not he will internet access to play his turns. (and if he doesn't have internet access, then he also won't be able to contact me to tell me he doesn't). So I told him I'd keep an eye on the deadline for him, and delay the turn if necessary. But I'm not going to be around near the deadline, so I've just added a delay that will allow me to check on the situation tomorrow. Apologies for the delay though. |

Sorry, folks, staled this last turn. Had big rainstorm, with big leak in the kitchen, and stupid neighbors trying to burn their house down by oven fire (which I still smell), and got too busy to even remember to ask for an extension. Will try not to let it happen again.

You dare attack me, Arcoscephale? I am not some easy pickings just because I am at war with Ulm; you can and will be punished for this act of aggression unless you cease immediately and give back the land you have captured. |

To all those who find their self near Arcoscephale: Do not let their aggression against the good people of Niefelheim go unpunished. Attack them without notice and diplomacy, as they have done to us. If they would do this to us, what is to say they would not do this to you? Do not trust these wind riders, they must be punished, unless you wish to sit at their feet as their slaves. |

It feels odd to, in a way, triple post, but this is important; I am out of the game. All my lands have been conquered except for my capital, which is being sieged; defended only by a national hero which I received in some sick twist of 'luck'. In truth, I lost this game the moment I staled against LA Ulm and he slayed my entire starting army. I tried my best to stay in through war bonds and building the largest army I could, but it was an exercise in futility. The Ulmish hordes were too numerous and overpowering for even these mighty giants. Even my pretender was not spared death when, fully equipped, I sent him to capture Ulm's capital with a large amount of skinshifters with him. I guess I should have listened to Ulm when he told me it would be a bad idea to rush him. Oh well, I am stuck with my fate; I find it curious that I deviated from my intended plan of turtling into many SCs almost on a whim. Oh well. A Side Of Pain was certainly that; nothing more. |

Hey Mu, Hope you didn't take my attack the wrong way. Nothing personal, I just needed to expand in some direction and yours was it. I did not respond to your ingame message about peace when you first showed up on my doorstep because I figured I might have to move in your direction sooner rather than later, and didn't want to Diplo myself into a corner. If its any consolation, Yomi has taken up your call and has a pretty large army pinballing around my territory right now. I'll be curious to see what happens when I finally catch my chasing army up with him, as I spent a good amount of time on my scripts and wanna see if it works. To echo what SirMu said, Yomi currently has a big old hunk of his army tied up down in Arcoland, and the rest of his forces are out trying to reclaim lands my raiders are chomping from him. If you share a juicy border with him and were ever wondering when might be a good time to take some for yourself, now might just be that time! |
