Llamaserver is back up and the next turn (turn 22) is ready but it looks like there was a hiccup or something because I don't think it sent out the latest turn files. I certainly didn't get one and it sounds like Nimiria didn't either. I went in and requested a turn re-send for my nation and after about 10 minutes I got turn 22. I opened the game to make sure Llamaserver didn't screw anything up but it all looks good as far as my turn-21 actions were resolved. I went and requested a turn re-send for every other nation as well so hopefully everyone should get their turn file within the next couple minutes and we can pick this game back up.

Well, that'll do it for me, guys. Setting myself to AI as I can basically do nothing now.

My last stand against TC was pretty bloody, but alas, my guys routed first ...barely. :)

It was definitely a good learning experience for a first MP game. Had no idea Niefels got boosted to 19 prot in their own dominion, or that blood sabbaths were an extra level of headache over communions due to mages stealing each others blood slaves. That and I obviously need to learn more about the caster AI.

How hard did you laugh, Shatner, when those three aoe 12ish agonies went off in the middle of my mages to kill a couple dragonflies a few turns ago? I think that one takes the cake for the most boneheaded move I've ever seen the AI make, I couldn't even help but laugh myself.

I'll have to wait a while to see how much further Mictlan is dropping my standing in the army size chart.

Chariots? That'll sting a little, but no problem!
National summons? Bring them on!
Plain old human archers? OMG NO! Not the immortal death squad of doom!

I think that about sums up that war from my end.

Now who was the dumb bastard that invited you to this game from the shrapnel forums? Oh... right. :)

Cheers to a worthy opponent, as noble in defeat as in victory. During that first battle of ours, when we both had 3-turns notice and knew exactly which province was going to be invaded, I looked over my mighty army and felt invincible; my tight-knit formation of tower shields and chariots would hold you off while my archers blotted out the sun with each volley.

Then you cast agony. And hellfire. And MORE hellfire. The jaguar warriors were no slouches either but man, those High Priests of the Sun left me reeling. A war that I expected to be a one-sided blitz turned into a bloody battle of attrition.

Well played, Six.

Yeah, that was pretty glorious. A similar thing happened when about three of your winged jaguar demons attacked a cluster of archers with a mage standing right behind them. What does he do? Casts Acid Rain, maiming a dozen archers, melting himself into a puddle of stupidity and scalds one of your critters for 6 or so damage.

There was also one fight where your mages cast summon imp about three times and my mages cast swarm about three times and then the next five rounds of combat was like a Benny Hill skit with old men in robes swatting at imps while mostly-naked guys with anime hair get chased around by dragon flies. Some of our fights were epic and others... less so.

I think those archers were as deadly for their stubbornness as their arrows. There were several battles (this last one included) which came down to "T'ien Ch'i will lose unless Mictlan routs". After all the summons had been splattered, all the chariots had been torn apart by jaguar warriors with tire marks on their backs, and all the tower shield mooks had been scattered and scorched by AoE blood sorcery, all that remained was a cluster of archers with empty quarrels yelling "bring it on!" I think that sight alone confused your troops into retreating.

Those archers were amazingly epic. What I'd consider the 3 major battles of that war.. the first big battle, the castle storming, and that last stand, iirc that same exact squad of archers was the last group standing each time. When, or maybe i should say "if" they meet their end, please do post it for me. I'd like to know what finally brings them down. :)

Also on that final battle, if you look closely when my lowly researchers cast Sabbath Slave its popping blood slaves 15 squares away or so. Then I think due to range, my rain priests went off script in round 2 and started summoning imps. All these guys were stealing blood slaves intended for my sun priests who were scripted to sabbath master/hellfire/hellfire/hellfire/hellfire, but were shooting blanks by the end of round 3 because they ran out of slaves. Coincidentally, that happened to be the same time as everything else routed and those archers were about to finally get their due. (Evil.. immortal.. archers)

@Stephmo: I may have lost early, but I'm learning. Definitely see ya guys next game.

Cheers to CowBird for a fine battle. I'd never lost an army before now, and I can't say I much like the experience, but it does make our war a lot more interesting this way. Now we're even for the 70+ death gems worth of your summons I blew to smithereens at the start of your invasion into T'ien Ch'i.

The evil, immortal archers are still kicking in army #2 but their counterparts in army #1 were brutally put to the sword by an enormous block of Tengu rushing to the back line. CowBird, how you ever had the air gems to summon that many birdy swordmasters is beyond me, but they were gems well spent.

Here's to an enjoyable war! May our soldiers never rout and our casters never go off script.

I really thought you were going to move and I'd spend my waning turns trying to chase down two arrow happy armies backed by a billion mages. So, thanks for staying put. The nice thing about fighting T'ien is you get to see all the pretty colors. All of them. And they hurt.

White knuckle fight to. the. death.

(Tengu are 5 for 2 air. Not bad for flying flagellants.)

1) You'd think being set on fire would help you see during darkness. This is not the case.

2) Zmey require an insane amount of punishment to bring down. "Oh, 90hp, sure I can handle that... oh wait that's per head. Hmm..."

3) The immortal archer division is no more. Two of their members managed to flee but the rest were frozen, burned to cinders, ripped apart or hacked asunder. I hope they hadn't invested in any long-term stocks.

A rollback? Could I just resubmit the turn I sent before?
