Another medium sized map done for an LP.![]() All the place names and so on are taken from Dom3 lore. The cities should all have relatively high population, and the other named landmarks have extra magic sites. I've tested the map with 12 players and the start points look reasonable, so it should be OK with 14. 120 land provinces, 13 sea. Suitable for 8 - 14 players, max one of them underwater. It looks like the map image in the preview and the zip are different. |

One warning for anyone using this map - sailing is massively OP. I'm trying to fight off an invasion by Van right now, and they can hit anywhere on the coastline from amazingly far away. Not a crippling flaw (I hope), but something to be aware of. |

On the other hand, sailing is very rare and not available to super strong nations (except possible helheim turbo blitz). |

After some discussion in the dom4 maps thread, I've made some improvements to this map. New download link in the first post. There are a lot more connections now, so hopefully it's a bit less deadly to start in the top right. Thanks to TheDemon for suggestions on how to sort it out without removing the mountains entirely. |

Oooh! Excellent! Finally someone listens to my aimless ramblings! I do like that you managed to keep the mountains too. There is only one problem with it now. The fact that there is a connection between province 126 and 128. Now, I like the fact that they are connected from a map balancing perspective, but they have no land connection to one another so you would not think looking at them that you could move between them. Perhaps a land bridge of some sort? Turning the water mass separating them in to a (non-province)lake perhaps? |

Should also mention that the rivers now have prov connections over them so they can be replaced with the new river connection mechanic in Dom4. Something as simple as a map label might clarify over-the-water province connections. Up top it could be something like Bloodhenge Bay Ferry or just The Ferry, the one in the south could be "The Causeway" |

126 and 128 was actually a mistake, but I agree that it's nice so I'm keeping it. I also added a second route to Tir so it's not a complete dead end. There's a bridge for the main island route and two small island chains for the others. |
