At a guess, I'd say it means that the admin for Fleetwood5 has added your email address by accident as the TC player. Either that, or the llamaserver has experienced a very odd problem and subbed in your email address for the TC player. Try requesting a turn resend for TC Fleetwood5, and see if the turn ends up in your inbox Admiral Aorta? |

To be honest, I am fairly sure that I can beat you two on one. I know from experience that you are a good player Ghoul, but we have the advantage of numbers.
It wasn't so much that I had to invite everyone else, it was more that it seemed a bit selfish not to. After all, if I am having so much fun, why should I keep it all to myself? I hope you can see what I mean here, Ghoul. I was just trying to be reasonable about the whole affair.
This is quite possibly true, although the competition for MOST pitiful is actually pretty steep. But I certainly qualify as ONE OF the most. I am fairly confident that CthulhuDreams is actually MORE pitiful than I am, although by the time you are this far into the shallows of the Dom3 gene pool you are at best quibbling over minor differences. Now that we have sorted out that misunderstanding, is it too much to ask that you send me all of your gems and magic items once Shinuyama gets done sacking your capital and having his wicked way with your horses, er women, er I meant horse women? It would seem only fair, given how pathetic I am, that you help me out by doing this. |

Ghoul, I am on your side. Every nation against one is not fair and ruins the spirit of this war. Hundreds if not thousands of your horse women horses did not lay down their lives, their pitiful, miserable lives, so that they could also be killed by every other nation in the world. I implore you, Pretenders of this world, that we agree... no... that we commit to ensuring not every nation attacks Pan. I this spirit I call upon every nation to attack Pan - EXCEPT Hoburg - thus solving this problem forever and all time. "He's a Saint!" I hear you calling out to me Ghoul, and your right, I am. |

I think we should help pangaea out by occupying their land until they are in a position to retake it. After all, managing it while under attack is so stressful, i'm sure ghoul would prefer to focus on the war effort. |

Admiral, as always your compassion and humanitarianism are an inspiration to all of us. I had previously been considering making peace with Pangaea and going home to knit woolen bonnets for my various mushroom minions, but now I see that world peace is best served by occupying the poor benighted Pangaeans and helping them in this time of need. |

This gangbanging of mother nature is atrocious! The mighty Hoburg Allianz pledge to rush will all it's forces to aid their Pangean friends! |
| This sentence is a logical fallacy. | |

Uh guys. I have been both gang-banged and have banged with the gangs in the past. After all, putting a wounded animal out of its misery is just being a good Samaritan right? But umm. You do realize that Jimbo and Tzarin, the two players that ganged up on Ghoul, are probably real life friends. Right? This is most likely not a mater of superior diplomacy. (Though with Ghoul I could see that.) But probably the case of two real life friends that planned to stick together over a cup of coffee and planned this attack offline. Thats pretty scummy in my book. If my hunch is right. |

What evidence do you have? I agree it would be naughty. This isn't a casual game and I would not be cool with that if it was the case. |

I have no good evidence. Just hunches and coincidences. But. Previously in the threat Jimbo claimed that Tzarin was a friend that had not registered on the board yet. And you should see how the two nations are located. Both of them had the bad luck of winding up on the maps north eastern peninsula. If you dont know what the map looks like the let me tell you that its pretty much two long corridors divided by a mountain chain. Passages exist in the ends and in the middle. That place is pretty much set up for a knife fight in a phone booth year one, if more then one nation starts there. Shin began further up the peninsula and would normally have to fight their way through Myconos in order to be able tho expand anywhere. Because the corridor is only two provinces thick in the passage provinces in the middle. And one of those provinces is occupied by Myconos capitol. But instead of fighting, Myconos seem to have surrendered the province next to its capitol so that Shinryama could continue to expand further down and attack Pangaea. In fact. Both nations look like segmented worms made out of provinces because both nations avoid blocking of expansion routs for the other and so that both can reach pangaeas land. This dont prove anything of course. But the plan to attack Pangaea must have been made much earlier that the actual attack. Probably already in year one. And its pretty ballsy to allow a big army to just walts right past your capitol like that. |

Can I ask you to unpack what you are alleging, Corinthian? Because I think there are a bunch of things (assumptions, allegations, and opinions on what is appropriate) that need to be teased out. In the interim, I am pretty confident about why I have allied with Shinuyama (we were both fucked if we didn't TBH, given that we started very close to each other on a constrained peninsula) and that it makes sense. It is probably also worth noting that in the last two Dom3 games I played with Ghoul we ended up allied, and in the only game I have played with Tzarin we had a NAP+3 (not an alliance) and I promptly backstabbed him. I am going to mail my g-talk chatlogs to Sombre, together with my turn file. I am comfortable about what I have done, specifically that I would have entered into the same sort of alliance with whatever nation was in Shinuyama's position out of a cowardly desire to survive past turn five. In particular, if Ghoul and Tzarin were reversed, I would have attempted to ally with Pangaea (Ghoul) if he was stuck on this stupid peninsula with me, against Shinuyama (if he were in Pan's current position). I will also note that I typically spend lots and lots of time chatting to my allies. I am currently doing so with MightyPeon in the game IWantMorePower. In that game we ganged up on Shinuyama firstly, and now C'tis. Cowardly? Yes. An effective means of surviving? Also yes. I can also provide my chat logs from that game, if you want to see that my behaviour with Shinuyama is typical of how I conduct myself in these games. |

FWIW I don't think anything is amiss here, and see no need to bother Sombre with chat logs and such. Quirky alliances and backstabbings happen in this game. I assume that I am playing against a bunch of people who all know how to get in touch with each other and are probably plotting against me right now. Paranoid? Maybe, but aren't all successful megalomaniacal tyrants who want to rule the world a little paranoid? :ph43r: |

Oh right. So maybe i'm being a little paranoid and reading meanings in to place were there is none. But your reasoning is very alien and exotic to me. I am always ready for a year 1 war. In fact I pretty much ruched someone as LA Agartha once. And I also tend to roleplay pretty arrogant pretenders that would not suffer any close neighbors if i can avoid it. And I also consider the provinces around my capitol to be sacred and to always belong to the owner of the capitol. In fact, one of the reasons I decided to attack the hoburgs was because I attacked an elephant province next to their capitol and I surmised that any peace would result in them taking the elephant province from me. And that would be terrible because I lost several good men fighting those elephants. Better then to go to war. I think I attacked them the same turn that we bumped in to each other. But is sounds rather dangerous still to be that close to a neighbor. I he decided to start hostilities he could literally attack you anywhere. And in the case of Shinryama who have stealth troops, you would not even see the armies coming for you until you have already lost half your nation. :ph43r: |

It is actually worse than that - if you look at the map, almost every province I own (until I started heading South into Pan) is coastal. And I don't own any of the adjacent sea provinces. ![]() Fortunately I don't think we have any nations with sailing in this game, so only one nation (the one who owns the adjacent sea provinces) can take advantage of this. And of course, my fine, noble and upstanding neighbor Shinuyama also suffers from a similar disadvantage. BTW, I am getting a strange error with llamaserver. When I submit my turn, I get two emails back: the first acknowledges my email as being correct and successfuly, while the second tells me I didn't attach a .2h file. Not too sure what the go is there, so I'll email the llama if it persists (edit: I can see my file has now been accepted). |
