My homies! I want to get back into dom3 again. I also want to add/update some nations in the MC scheme.

I figure a good way to do this is to host a no nonsense 'have fun' game where I encourage, but do not demand, that players use mod nations. Please pick only from the base game or MC nations OR if I need to update an MC nation, let me know and I'll do that before the game.

I will be using,......... -rolls dice- Hexapoda EA!

So the era is EA.

By the looks of it, there are only 4 mod nations available in EA.

Well you don't have to take the mod nations - base game nations are fine and jolly as well.

Well, since the way of kings game seems to have died stillborn with a whimper, I think I have some extra time to join this one and show people the might of the Lizard Kings. C'tis for me please.

I'll Pictland or Haida Gwaii then I guess.

FYI the Pictland 'Wind Hawk' conj 1 spell summons nothing in the MC version I just downloaded and tested.

If I had to pick one, haida gwaii, but i'll play either.

You can also pick from base game nations.

I'll check that pictland issue. It's weird because I tested it and it worked fine. Maybe I broke it after that.

I had the non-MC pictland installed and then I just copied new pictland over the top of it.. maybe that broke it.

Also, what's the deal with pictland? Hordes of crappy troops and animal summons is kind of an okay idea, sure, but they all cost heaps of gold for what they do.. the troops AND the mages. You could honestly halve the gold costs for all the units and 2/3rds it for the mages and that would make it balanced for EA.

EDIT: And after playing a couple of DE games I can't actually go back to CBM regular nations. It's like making paper planes after you've just ridden a booster rocket into orbit.

I told Sombre that I would play dom3 again if I could play a clown-themed nation. Blue-painted picts are close enough for me, so I'm in.

Well that makes 5 of us.

If you object to the following settings speak up now:

A randomly generated 5 player map
No indies (indy poptype recruiting disabled)
No hiring of mercs
No doing anything abusive - if you think 'is this abusive?' then it probably is
Diplomacy is not binding by rule
24 hour turns moving to 48 hours once we're out of expansion phase
No rollbacks
As few delays to hosting as possible (if you gotta stale, stale, it's just a game)

CBM 1.92 will be rolled together with the nation mods to make a single dm file which I'll provide for the game. You'll need to download the individual mods to get the graphics though.

Winner is by consensus. If consensus calls for an allied victory or draw, that's fine too.

Having fun is paramount so if you aren't having fun, let me know :]

I'm going to make a turn extension request in advance for saturday, as I expect to be doctored for most of the day and then be under happy time sleepy pills by the time I get home. As such, I am very unlikely to have the time and brainpower to do a turn that day.

Edit : And those settings look good to me.

I'll make the mod tonight and the game will be ready for pretenders tomorrow then. A classic weekend start.

Once I've made the mod pleasepleaseplease test it. Because once the game starts it's locked in. There shouldn't be any bugs but then there's always one, always.
