inspired by the upcoming tourney - I made a new duel map! ![]() The map is drawn first with the Battle for Wesnoth map editor and then Photoshop. This one is balanced, nearly mirror balanced, but there are some slight differences to North and South. They should be equally good. No special poptypes or features, except that two of the middle valley provinces has the "many sites" option set (the flowery provinces). The two players obviously start in the castles in the north and south. Let me know if there is anything that needs fixing! Download the map here Also, as promised, I have started work on larger maps: -something similar in Size to Pareto, but with a lake instead of an ocean, made for 4(+1) players. -a 6 player map with east/west wrap, somewhat similar to sixlands, but I will put some kind of lake(s) so that water nations can join, but does not need to. |

The province borders are very tasteful this time. Shiny stuff! |

Very nice map. I count 9 squares cap to cap via the left center path, 11 via the right. Would it be possible to collapse two of those hexes on the bottom right? Given the fairly symmetrical layout it would give the bottom player even chances to reach the center choke via either route (doing so would give both players a 4 hex and a 5 hex approach - currently the bottom player must take the left approach in order to have even chances, as the right would make him 2 turns slower (if I counted correctly)). With that change we can add it to the map pool! |

Wrong preview I realized now. There has been a change since that image. Or were you looking at the map in game, frosted? Edit: At work now, can make new preview picture tonight. The changes to the actual map are however minor, so feel free to check that out. |

I'm not sure if you edited it or I just miscounted. Either way I just opened up a game and checked it out, this map looks great. I'm going to add it to the map pool. |
