This is a new version of "The Valley", with water provinces. It has 13 water provinces, and five of them are in the central lake. There is also a start position in the middle of the lake, meaning that a water nation can join the Valley War! The Valley with no water provinces can be found here: http://z7.invisionfree.com/Dom3mods/index.php?showtopic=1358 There is a planned version with north/south wraparound, but I will need to do some graphical work to get that done, so that will take a bit of time before I get around to doing that. I have some doubts in this one. Water nation here must have very strong dominion here. Clustered sea provinces in the center should be ok. But separate lakes to the up and to the bottom are going to become a headache for the underwater nation leader to keep his/her dominion there. Maybe this circumstance is not a problem, but rather a feature. |

Oh! A comment! It is a tricky position, that is true. In a game with diplomacy, the water nation would make an interesting ally for any of the land nations though. I forgot one thing actually, the water nation was supposed to get a "many sites" province of it's own. This combined with having easy access to more provinces than the land nations could make it an interesting place to be. Will get another version up in a bit. |
