A wraparound map with 62+20 provinces suitable for a 4 people blitz or the like.![]() ![]() I haven't set balanced start positions, just made some of the worst ones #nostart. So you might want to test that out a bit. Please tell me if there are missing connections or other misstakes and I'll fix them. Download it here: Fantomia |

If you have a way to have deep sea, and have them easy to see, it would be perfect. It's far from bad without them, thus. |

May I suggest making the colour a little less bright overall with a very slight grey or sepia wash over the whole thing? Anything with non bland backdrop is easy to lose stuff against. Perhaps an alternate sepia version? |

You're right Sombre, I'll try desaturating it a bit and maybe apply some kind of filter for the final version. I hadn't thought about the deep sea differentiation, I won't do anything about it for this map but maybe the next one. |

Having big sea monster as marker for deep sea could be a cool idea. To be honest, it was the first thing I thought. It"s very pretty in any case. The dom3 system that allow any drawing as map mean that ironically dom3 map are particulary pretty

With the deep sea provs you could literally just throw a dark wash over them. The colour differentiation would be fairly obvious. |

So here's a desaturated version with slightly less contrast: Edit: Images in OP now replaced. |

The Map is now finished and ready for play. I found out what the problem was with the map editor on mac osx. If anyones interested it is that the game puts the map folder inside the application package on osx, and you need to create an additional maps folder in the Dominions3 folder where the savegames etc are. Editing to and from that new folder works fine. |

Updated with a NI version (added to the download) and a fix because two water provinces lacked water tag. |

Thanks for the kind words. It's not properly hand drawn, I made it in Gimp. Next map will have mostly hand painted assets though. Here's a teaser from testing out some of them: ![]() That's probably going to take a while though, I still need to paint most of the assets like houses and stuff, and textures for the terrain types. But I'm hoping to be ready when dom4 comes out. |
