This is new.  I have never heard of a unit becoming lost casting returning.  So I don't know why it would happen.  Is there a message?

You can get lost in Time and Space now with Returning.

You also don't come back to the "home" area if you cast it in another plane, and I have a feeling the unit is killed. I don't think there is a message.

It's rare, but it can happen.

I assume this is part of the new stuff. has me stumped on how to get to actually 'advance' in the story.

There have been signs of some activity at the Ancient Tomb. It should perhaps be investigated by a mage. Otherwise some thrifty adventurer could be sent to explore it.

And now theres a book with an x over it on the province.

Problem is I can't seem to actually do anything. And waiting hasn't helped.


Edit - Resolved this. Dont know how exactly but I just kept massing mages and troops until one was assassinated by a tomb monster and I got a magic item and some gems.

Now I have another where a horror cult has established itself in my territory. Said to bring priests so my divine power can counteract them. So i dropped about a dozen on there though they dont seem to be doing anything other than keeping my candles above 4.

Does anyone know if Entanglement as cast by a vine whip is subject to MR-resistance in the same way as a vine shield is?

From the manual :
If a province cannot trace an unbroken line of friendly provinces back to a friendly fort, it does not produce income that turn. Taxation requires communication.

In a disciple game, are allies's provinces and forts "friendly" ?

Yes, allied provinces and forts count. Even if they're underwater, too.

You are right that strength determines if you can break free of the vines but in the case of vine shields there was a very good testing (in this very sub forum) that demonstrated that MR is protective of being entangled in the first place.

Vine whips cause the effect Entanglement (same as a vine arrow), I just wondered if that was subject to MR resistance as the vine shield is.

I don't think they do. I've used them rarely but they seem to always entangle on a hit. However, I don't know if shield hits count.

this is probably an easy one for you folks. does mistform effect projectiles? i know aoe evos ignore mistform, but what about a spell like storm of thorns that is NOT AOE? thanks for the help.
All that matters is that two stood against many-that's what's important...

Wouldn't it be the fact that most AoE spells are doing magic damage that lets them ignore mistform?
