Well, until he is under 100 again, which imply some external help (bless, the spell Relief, gear) |

are you saying that a mage with d4 CAN cast darkness? listed fatigue is 400. anything over 200 causes damage, so won't he die? |

A mage never take damage from its own casting, if the fatigue go too far it don't damage him. Only communion slave burn, since they are not the caster. |

thanks ohlman. actually, now that i think about it, he's d3 with a booster(d4) then one gem boosts to d5, so he'd only take 200 fatigue. that seems odd that he could cast a 400 fatigue spell though, by himself, don't you think?(if he didn't boost himself, i mean) |

Mages have always been able to do that. |

Else, battle spell who cost more than 4 gems will be mostly impossible to cast alone. Think Master Enslave. |

wow. i thought high fatigue spells like that meant you really needed a communion to cast them. thanks for setting me straight, that's a big difference. |

Just beware other sources of fatigue. Getting a mage up to 200 fatigue while in an fatigue aura, or some sort of other source of fatigue still hurts the mage. (And high fatigue still gives the critical hit chance). |

It also means they won't run away. I think that is the most common reason to lose your expensive battle mage casting big gem spells. Even bodyguards run at the 75% rout. It's a big reason I try to cast big gem spells with extra path whenever possible. |

Has anyone researched/tested if throne defenders (and indies in general) have access to all spells up to research level X, or only to a hardcoded list of spells (no matter the level)? |

I've been messing around with them, and it seems that the low and mid tier throne defenders definitely seem more organized. The water mages tend to cast quickness on troops, and the death mages always try to spam skeletons. The fire mages sometimes cast good spells like fireballs and prison of fire but also like spells like blindness for some reason. The Pretender chassis mages still seem borked for some reason, and almost exclusively casts self buffs and minor evocations. |
| What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my words. You think you can get away with saying shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your tongue. You didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo. | |

Playing as Asphodel I've noticed that one of the national sites of former abysian cap, that i own around 30 turns ago, has dissapeared. Is it intended as my dominion has been killing population, still 3 thousand over there, or is it a bug? It is the one giving 4 fire gems so i'm a bit pissed off. Now i think it was as the same time the patch was upgraded, but can't check it now. |

There was a bug I reported where some random events caused the creation of Smouldercone sites in random provinces, sounds like that the update cleaned not only the bad Smouldercones but also the ones controlled by nations who captured the Abysian capital. Do report it on the Desura thread. |
