There can be up to eight sites, but with increasing rarity it is highly unlikely that you will come across that number of sites. I'm not sure how the chances are compared to dom3, but I would guess that a wasteland might be more site dense than before, while possibly farmlands less so. But this is mostly guessing, based on vague recollections and impressions while testing.

Does anyone have an opinion on turmoil + luck ?

Very short testing show it give an impressive amount of gem and magic item, apparently more than before, but the same or maybe even less money. I am unsure of whether you can stomach turmoil 3 in a somewhat long game.

I am testing Fomoria with Turmoil + Luck and I concur, gold seems to flow a lot less freely. Not even got once a 3000 gold event in about 5 years.

i have tested lanka a lot, ost of it with turmoil. i have the impression, that gold income thru luck is significantly less than in dom3.

Are blood slaves supposed to be virgins? (It might for some interesting thematic spells for the game, something that would increase growth, but decrease then chance of finding a blood slave).

There are lots of new events. It is quite likely that there are relatively fewer money events now.

Yes.
"A blood slave is typically a female virgin with blood of great purity, enslaved and drugged to be used as a sacrifice in Blood magic. If left without commanders, they will run away or fall whimpering to the ground."

However, they do not have the female tag (in dom3, no way to really check that in dom4 yet)

I was wondering is there some kind of ability like gift of water breathing that allows water units to go on land instead? I have not found any yet, but maybe thre is some magic item that I'm missing.

For commander, there is the amulet of the fish.

For troop, you can GoR and then put an amulet of the fish on them, but no unit are powerful enough to be worth it.

How's the Miraculous Cure All Elixir supposed to work ? I've given it to an afflicted Raksharaja for many turn and he keeps his affliction so long (battle fright). Does it only remove the diseases (and not all afflictions) which seems the most likely, does it remove all afflictions, but not on demons & undeads, or does it remove all afflictions to all creatures and I've been particularly unlucky ?

Also, seems that the "diseased" icon has been removed, you have to check the afflictions to see if an unit is diseased.

So, high damage projectiles can now pierce shields. That's a really good choice I think. After some testing I think Ulm Arbalest might actually be useful now since they can kill stuff like Praetorian Guard (tower shields, 18 protection).
Does anyone know the exact numbers on this? Has it only to do with projectile damage, how does AP and AN come into the equasoin, does shield parry have anything to do with it, etc?

To test site distribution, I have began an EA game with 40 provinces and no indep. I am site searching each province with a mage with 4 in each path and a priest with H4.

On the first 14 provinces, I have found 33 sites, or 2.35 site, ranging from 0 to 5 per province.

It's a bit above what I would have expected in dom3, but 14 province ain't enough for a true statistic test yet.

Edit : I have finished searching all 38 provinces. 78 sites found, or ~2 per province on average.

9 fire
9 Air
6 Water
12 Earth
13 Astral
13 Death
11 Nature
1 Blood (level 0 to boot)
4 Holy

In addition to that, 2 sites created by event (1 fire, 1 nature)

It seem that searching for blood site is still useless. Holy is between one third and one half less common than the rest, everything else seem equally commun. I believe "only" 6 water site is a randiom fluke.

38 province is not enough for definitive conclusion, but it look like the site distribution was not changed. I am not even sure you can have more than 4 sites without special event.

Oh, and btw, my statistics:

Site searched 40 provinces with a level 4 everything pretender (no holy levels of course). Got 37 sites out of 40 provinces. That's EA with 45 site frequency so that's considerably less sites then in Dom 3. I'd say I found at least half as many sites as I should have. I'd also point out that many blitzes and duels offer same results as mine. People feel sites are much rarer then before.

EDIT: Actually, it's 41 provinces not counting the capital with a total of 47 gem income (including capital gem income of 6). So that's about 1 gem income per province and Dom 3 it was more like 3 gems per province in EA.

Double Edit: Some of those sites were actually already visable, line mines and mermaid rec sites, so it's less then even 37, more like 32 sites out of 41 province.
