Foe of Paragraphs and Capitalization
If an army is seiging a castle and other armies are marching to help break the siege(and are adjacent) how does that work-do the storming armies attack, then the armies coming will besiege the castle? or will the armies marching to attack the besiegers join in the battle? i'm pretty sure in Dom3 the castle siege took place first, but i'm also fairly sure I got burned in dom4 thinking that...
All that matters is that two stood against many-that's what's important...

Based on the manual, I'd say that the reinforcements will come in and beat up the besieging army before it can attempt a storm.

Manual

21. Friendly movement
All movement ending in a friendly province takes place now. If you are trying to get to a friendly province before an enemy does, you will do it if you are not stopped by an event that takes place in steps 1 through 11.
22. Other movement
All other movement, including Break Siege, takes place.
23. Resolve battles
All battle resolution from movement happens here.
24. Castle storming
Castles are stormed and battles resolved
