Hi I'm currently in a game playing Marverni and I'm having some problems with Legions of Steel spell. I have cast it a couple of times in different battles and it seems to have no effect. My druid casts the spell, an area of the battlefield flashes, where there are clearly troops. However, after the spell has been cast, if I click on the detials of the troops that should have been effected, they have recieved no increase in protection of any kind. It seems no one has recieved any extra protection. Is this a bug? If it is working correctly, should I be able to see an increase in protection displayed under the troop info tab. Is it possibly working in the background? Thanks |

Legions of Steel increases the strength of armour. If you are using troops without armour it doesn't do anything. Marveni has a lot of naked dudes so maybe you aren't hitting the right troops. There are two types of protection: natural and armour. Only armour is affected by the spell. |

Hi thanks for the reply But I am sure that the area was over troops with armour. Nobles, and barbarians. Even the bare chested warriors should get the bonus on their shields but I noted no change of any kind. |

I just ran a test and my barechests didn't get any prot boost, but armoured nobles had their body prot (not head prot) boosted by 3. |

iirc you didn't see the effect on shields in dom3. Not sure if it even helped them. So could be the same in dom4 |

[Maerlande] Because it was a smart idea. Soyweiser was right. The irc channel: #Dominions on irc.gamesurge.net | |
