Hi guys, currently I'm working on a guide for MA Ermor and I started to wonder, Is possible to get assassins for Ermor?, there are thug options?, I remember reading something about using black servants. My general idea is to have pseudo SC supporting an army and if possible assassins to kill nasty commanders. Currently we have as sc Censor Black servant Spectator Dusk Elder Mound Fiend Wraith Lord Bane Lord |

There are no assassins unless pretender has blood and there are free blood slaves available to forge Black Heart (Construction 6). Raider thugs are Spectators. Sneaky 25 HP ethereal guys with life drain attack, fear, 16 natural defense and D2 magic who can cast Invulnerability and Soul Vortex with extra death gem spent. Extra bonus for usage of Shroud of Saints for triblessed Ermor. Other option is Divine Mummy - specific Ermorian event outcome. It is 100+ health commander with Fear. |

Ermor (in any era) doesn't get any native assassins, no. Nor do they really have any stealthy units that would qualify as a decent "Thug" without equipping them with an exorbitant number of forged items. The very minimum Construction level you would need to research for an Assassin would be Level 6 for the "Black Heart:, and you would need minimum Blood 2 to forge it, which would require you to use your Pretender or an independent mage. When people mention Black Servants in an offensive capability, what they usually mean is equipping a Black Servant with a Venom Charm, which gives you a stealthy scout which can kill population and disease units in any province the Servant is hidden in. In MP games, it can be worthwhile to sneak such a Servant into an opponent's research-centered fortress, as suddenly their mages are being afflicted with disease and subtly dying off without an obvious reason. For more general Thug/SC chassis, Banes and Bane Lords are popular chassis, as they are relatively cheap to summon (for Ermor), need a minimum level of equipment to shine, and can lead undead troops as well. EDIT: Ah, hadn't considered Spectators, as I didn't realize they were Stealthy! I don't have a huge amount of experience with Ermor, as is probably apparent.

Thanks guys, good idea for the shroud for spectators, I never thought of making the servant a cheap version of harvester of sorrows. Also, please any idea to improve the guide or the thugs is greatly welcomed. |

Other than EA and its splinters in MA and LA? A Bane Venom Charm gives a very obvious tell about what's happening btw, it says something like "yikes some crazy disease is killing a ton of people and spreading to commanders) or some variation thereof which is a dead giveaway there is a BVC in your province and if you can you should patrol hard to find the culprit. MA Ermor is light on assassins but long on thugs/thug "packs" with Lictors backed by a priest. I think the role of solo or even two-man thug squads has been pretty heavily curtailed in Dom 4, but a bunch of high hit point close combat monsters is still a lot for PD especially to deal with. If you go for a heavy bless on them, even moreso. |

Oops, blanked on EA not-spooky Ermor! Ermor "splinters" in MA and LA are irrelevant, since Sceleria and Pythium are...not Ermor.
