Suggestions For How To Revive The Site Read it. Ponder it. Reply to it. Marvel in awe at the fact that I can write a two paragraph post. Note: that post is this one, not the one I linked to. It's Frost-y length, so pace yourself if you need to. Now go, read, and die happy. Stay awesome, kids. Frosteh out. |

You can, I think you have to send a message to a mod or admin to do so on these kinds of forums |

Sure they are. Convince others of the truth! There is no rain! ...*shifty eyes* Mayhaps that's not such an appropriate catchphrase on a forum about a game with a character named Raine who is arguably necessary for various reasons and without her pretty much all of the plot would cease to exist. Also, perhaps not appropriate on a site that has a member with a username as "Raine", since if by saying this, I pop her out of existence, I will be very sad indeed. So yes. Just heed the subliminal messaging that laces everything I write and be coerced into like, posting daily or something. Or at least replying in the linked thread about what you think could/might/will/won't/can't/doesn't work in regards to potentially reviving this site. So yes. ...I am totally going to have to make a post on FB informing our MIA FF8Kers to actually read that post/check the site. Since it's been almost a week with no activity...again. Le sigh. ![]() (and sorry, FF8K, for posting again. I know everytime I do, you die a little bit more, so uh, apologies or whatever. Here's hoping someone replies soon so it doesn't stay dead )

This is totally my new sig. =D *posts this specifically to edit the post and steal the "quoted by Josh" thingermaBOB! that happens when you quote* !Also, I have been awake for almost 36 hours. Time for bed before I look like more of a spastic dumb@$$ that usual As soon as my brain is functioning on those higher levels (and I deal with all the other important-y stuff I've been putting off doing cuz my brain's been cloudy for the last two-to-three-weeks), I am totally spamming this forum with a dozen new threads in every board that proves vaguely interesting to me. Also, I need to update my FF and KH News thread. Also, I need to update my sig and avatar (and possibly my username). Also, I need to shut up soon and go to bed. Lastly, I also need to subliminally lace this post so that anyone who made it this far is going to pop over to the Mods and Admins board and comment on my thread there since people who comment are awesome and get cookies and unicorns and giant Adel clones to be used for junctioning your enemies to her ample bosom. So yes. Be coerced. Adel clones are awesome and a collector's item, and totally not mentally scarring to behold. So read and reply. Be the awesome people I know you are. That is all. Stay frosty, kids. A demain (maybe...)! =D! Edit: Dude, character limits in the signature SUCK. I had this awesome little schpiel for my half-revamped new sig, but even when it WAS under 500 characters (ie: it was at exactly 382 characters before it worked), it wouldn't let me save it, so blah. Consider this new one temporary, since as soon as I get myself a new sig-picture, it's gonna have to go to actually fit the link to the picture in there, unless someone bumps up the character limit there (which would be awesome, yo! *inserts subliminal messaging here*). So yes. Blah. For reference, original concept sig was this, before it was pared down to the bare bones you'll see below:

Why, thank you, I appreciate the compliment. I have to agree, without a picture, my sig really doesn't look...sig-like. Now it just sorta looks like my posts are even longer than they are o____OAnyway, the sig in question were screenshots taken from the FMV opening of FF3DS. It was of one of the main characters of the revamped version of FF3 for DS, Arc. He was the shy, tentative, quiet sidekick to the "hero", Luneth, although as the game's plot unfurreled, he really came into his own and became a hero in his own right. The thing with the Job System of FF3 is that you can change from one (ie: Onion Knight, Novice, etc...) to another (ie: Black Mage, White Mage, Knight, Red Mage, etc...) at any time, as long as you aren't in battle. So, with the shiny FMV footage and, since at the time I made it, it was "new" enough, I took two separate screenshots of the FMV, merged em together in Paint, and added "Reinvent Me", and had made it my new sig, since at the time, I wanted to do exactly what Arc did---reinvent himself. Also, in a more basic sense, I pretty much was Arc---the quiet, socially awkward kid---until I found stuff I was good at---like FF games, or writing, etc...---gave me stuff I could talk about confidently and be my strange, probably annoying self. ![]() Also, the dichotomy of the picture is pretty cool---you've got the book-reading kid, and then the fire-wielding superhero. While fire isn't really my thing, I liked the comparison---"I can read and may seem kinda unassuming, but when I have something I believe in, or you piss me off, be prepared to be charbroiled, b!tch!" !For reference, here's the image again, so you don't have to rely on memory to picture it: ![]() As I said, I should hopefully, in the next few days/weeks, be coming up with a brand-new sig/avatar combo for myself, and a new theme. Until then (or at least until someone else with the powers bumps up the character limit so I can actually fit something in it, since "500 characters that's actually only 382" isn't very big), I shall have to settle with what I have. So ![]() Now to just have the time and energy to come up with a new theme idea, and find the right pictures, and all shall be well in the world. ...maybe.

DS remake has the fairly awesome FMV opening cutscene that I used for that sig, otherwise, the rest of the game is still sprites like all pre-FF7 games. Difference is, the DS remakes (mainly just this and FF4DS so far) remake the sprites into vaguely-3D ones, which I'm not sure I like more but whatever. While the pre-7 (or, in my opinion, pre-8) games have fairly craptastic graphics when compared to the awesome graphics of the PS3 era (ie: FF13 *dies from sheer beauty of that game*), the games themselves aren't that bad. To be honest, some of the series's best games are prior to the updated graphics of the more recent games. If you haven't played FF6, I strongly suggest you try to pick up a copy (it's supposed to be coming out over the PSN for PSP/PS3 soonish, and it's been released on GBA as FF6Advance and on PS1 as part of FFAnthology with FF5), it is easily one of the best in the series, even with its little 2D sprites, and even if you choose to skip all the other early games cuz of sh!tty graphics, I think FF6 is worth at least testing out, cuz d@mn, that game is awesome. Dissidia does not do Terra justice (except in the "3D graphics that are awesomeish" way, I suppose), and Kefka is totally the most terrifying and insane villain ever. Take the Joker, make him even more insane and blood-thirsty and uncaring than he already is, give him god-like powers and super-magick, and then let simmer to a boil for an entire game. Throw in one of the largest and most awesome casts ever (*hugs Locke, Sabin, Gau, Terra, Celes, and the gang*), and an epic plot, and seriously, one of the most awesome games ever. If Square-Enix took the time to revamp it with PS3-era graphics and did a decent job promoting it, they'd rake in the cash. But I digress. Anyway, yeah. FF3's general graphics are kinda blah (I'm not as impressed by DS graphics as I was when I loved my DS the most a couple years back), but the opening cutscene is worth watching. You can check it out HERE if you wanna know what you're missing. All-in-all, FF3 is probably up there with FF1 as the least awesome FF game, although since it still IS an FF game, still worth playing. But like I said, if you're looking for games to play, and you have a DS or PSP, totally check out FF6 or FF4. I like FF2 a lot, but most people hate its "level up" system (in a nutshell, your stats boost semi-randomly, based on what you "use" [ie: strength/accuracy increases with successful attacks, magic/spell levels with successful magic casts, evasion/defense/HP when attacked, etc...]), and while I love Bartz, FF5 is kinda long and difficultish, although still fairly fun. ...I love how I can turn a one-line comment into a 12 paragraph reply. Going to bed now o___O
