Eden was always amongst my favourite summons, along with Shiva, Siren and Leviathan. I liked all the FF8 summons, though, except Pandemona. Although his/her/its attack was cool, I suppose. ![]() What I always found amusing was how much Ark's attack in FF9 was kinda a cheap rip-off of Eden's attack in FF8. Even now, I can't help but compare the two attacks. Even if it's been forever since I actually saw either. ...I need to replay 8, and get Ark on 9. o____OU In other news, Cursey, you mentioned Cosmos before. Have you been playing Duodecim at all? If so, thoughts/feelings/random murderous rages?

Question: What is the "Yuan Story"...? And for your innate awesomeness. It actually is set up so that, with the right abilities, equipment, and skill level with any given character, you can massacre enemies waaaaay higher than you. I still prefer outlevelling, where possible, of course, cuz I'm cheap. And they revamped Bartz's abilities so no more spamming Flood for Brody ![]() To be honest, I haven't actually done a lot of the actual story content of Duodecim yet, since the massive Scenario 000 is...well, massive and confusing without any decent guides up, I haven't gotten around to doing any more of the Scenario 013 stories besides Cloud, Onion Knight and Terra, since the dungeon level-limits annoy the eff out of me, and the Labyrinth is just confusing and evil as well, plus, again, no real good guides for it yet. Everyone's level 100, though, and I have probably about 80%+ of the equipment and accessories thanks to about 100-odd hours of Quick Battle and Ghost Battle item-farming. I ordered the official guide through Chapters (a bookstore chain), which should be arriving within the week, so I'll see once it comes in if I feel like playing it again and hitting the bits I didn't get to before. I'm actually in the midst of (re)playing FF4, as part of the Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection for PSP. I think FF4 probably has the privilege of being my most-replayed FF game, if only because I have played it to at least the mid-way point in each of the copies of it I own (FFChronicles for PS1, FF4Advance for GBA, FF4DS for DS, and now FF4CC for PSP). I'm fairly certain I beat the PS1 and GBA versions, and I'm equally certain I only made it to the part right before going into the Underworld for the first time in the DS version. Right now I just beat Rubicante and am supposed to be headed for the Sealed Cave, but am likely gonna crash the Feymarch and Sylph Cave first. Long story still really long, yes, replaying FF4, although wishing I just skipped in and moved on to either Interlude or The After Years, since, while I don't remember all the intricacies of FF4, am familiar with enough of it that it's not exactly making a fascinating replay o___O And no, have not played Portal 2, and likely never will. Once I finish off the FF4 games and Duodecim, I think I'm gonna be replaying FF8, in all likelihood. Or maybe 2/5/6/7/10/10-2/12/13. Or something. Hot d@mn are there a lot of games I need to either finish or replay before I die. ![]() And right there with ya on having other things to do---I had a job, it was way too physical for me after so long doing d!ck all, quit job, now I need to find a new job, plus insert other drama and things I wanna do, so yeah. It makes my gaming very awkward x_X ...this was long. Shutting up now. o___O tl;dr: Haven't technically gotten too far in Duodecim myself, have actually been playing FF4 for PSP, never played Portal 2, and wanna replay/finish most of my FF games before I branch out into other series. Also, Bob says hi, and have some cookies. |

Mmm, Yuna. I should have realized that. I was like "who the eff is Yuan, and why have I never heard of this person before?" xD And I tend to rely on walkthroughs, if only for locations for treasure and what to do when, just so I don't miss out on anything. Final Fantasy games are notoriously pretty bad for having one-time-only locations, plot-points, or treasures, and if you don't grab them/do them right away, no shiny items/character development/awesomeness for you. So yes, barring the most simplistic of games, I rely on guides, since I want to experience all the game has to offer, and not have to restart and waste hundreds of more hours of my life replaying something since I missed out on like, the most awesome thing in the game. x___X ...I also have a cr@ptastic memory when it comes to things, so aside from general plot/character development-y stuff, and maybe a few other things, I don't REMEMBER a lot of things, so even in games I've played multiple times, I'd rather have a guide so I don't miss out on anything ![]() As for "hating" other games, I don't think I said I hate them...since I don't...but yes. It's more that, in the time it takes ME to play a game (I rarely put in less than 50, and usually no less than 100, hours into a game...many of them I have over 250 hrs o___O), so in the time it takes me to play through whatever game(s) I'm playing, usually a new FF or KH game will come out, so I buy that, play it a bit, and by the time that's done, another new game is out for me to play. Also, in the same thread as the "no memory" thing, if I happen to finish a game to my liking (or grow bored with it, whatever, I'm fairly ADD that way ), and a new FF/KH game isn't out yet, I usually do end up "replaying" older games. For example, in September/October of 2010, I believe two new FF/KH games came out. I think they were The 4 Heroes of Light and Re:Coded. Anyway, whatever they were, I played 4HoL for a few weeks and grew bored, and Re:Coded for like, a day and was equally put off. I think I ended up playing FF9 (I might have been finished with it by then, I don't remember...actually, as I continue this paragraph, I think I might've just been playing SS and HG), finished that off, moved on to FF2 for about a week, then I think I got into the Pokemon games in a desperate attempt to "finish" them. By about, I'd say, February, I had finished SoulSilver, HeartGold, and powered through, I think, Diamond, or maybe Platinum. Either way, between that and a shiny online GTS box, I finished off my Pokedex, and was done. About the same time (probably early Feb), I decided I wanted to replay all the FF games in numerical order, so I started playing FF1. In about two weeks, I was done, and instead of picking up FF2 and continuing that, I started back in Dissidia, trying to get the missing items I needed and levelling up the last of the villains before Duodecim came out. I managed to accomplish a lot in the, say, three weeks I had, and while Duodecim was delayed for almost a week thanks to a f#ck up with Canadian distribution, I played Prologus for a few days, and was fine. Then I played Duodecim for a few weeks, although spent most of it trying to farm items in Quick Battle or Ghost Battles, until FF4: The Complete Collection came out a few weeks ago. I started playing FF4 about that time, and finished FF4, minus the Lunar Ruins bonus dungeons, about three or four days ago. I started Interlude the following day, and finished off its entirety, including the bestiary, yesterday. I am probably going to start The After Years sometime this week, which will likely take me a few weeks. When I finish that, I'll be moving on to FF2, probably, although I might skip those and head right to either FF8 or FF6, since playing Dissidia/Duodecim has really made me wanna replay them. Also, as soon as the strategy guide I ordered for it comes in, I'll probably take another crack at Duodecim too. Once I finish Duodecim and The After Years, I will probably go back to my numerical FF challenge, and at some point I'd actually like to finish FF7: Crisis Core, as well as KH: 358/2 Days and Re:Coded, as they're the only KH games I haven't finished. Plus a lot of the spin-off FF series, like Tactics/Crystal Chronicles/4 Heroes of Light/whatever all need to be completed eventually too, so yes. Needless to say, I have my hands full will the games I do own. Add to that the possibility that I may, eventually, (re)play the Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale/Neverwinter Nights/Dragon Age games, and yes. Lots to do. Plus it's not like I never play non-Square-Enix games. I love X-Men Legends and its sequel, I played both the Dark Cloud games, I quite enjoyed Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, and I've played a bunch of the Pokemon games and some PS2 Digimon game whose name I can't remember. Plus there's a couple other ones too, I'm sure. So yeah, less that I don't love non-FF/KH/S-E/JRPG games, and more that I don't have the time/sanity for anything new pretty much, like, ever. If there are any games you suggest that would be "up my alley", so to speak, do suggest them, since I'm always looking into potential new things, so yes. No guarantee I'll go run out and play it, but at the very least I'll look into it. ![]() Holy cr@p this was long. My bad. Annnnnyways... tl;dr: I use walkthroughs mainly so I don't miss anything and need to restart and waste all my time playing for nothing, and I don't hate other games, I just don't have time to play very many new ones, since the smattering of new KH/FF games that get released, plus replaying older ones, plus otherwise having a life keeps me busy enough as is. If there are any games you think I should be aware of, please suggest them, and I'll check em out.
