If you can read this, you are not illiterate. Congratulations! Have a cookie.
Just a heads up to you boys and girls, the PlayStation Network and PSN Store are now, more or less, back up.

Those with Dissidia: Duodecim are also in for a treat, since much of the DLC for it that was previously announced for Japan is up on the NA and EU PSNs, which means tons of new (and cheap!) music packs and alt costumes.

BE ADVISED: heavy traffic means you'll be getting tons of error messages whilst trying to log-in/buy stuff/download it, so just keep trying until you get it---it might take a few attempts, but supposedly it's all working.

UNFORTUNATELY, the website required to reset your PSN password (and actually regain access to the PSN) is "under maintenance", and has been for the last six hours at least. If you, like me, failed to change your password since the hack, you'll have to wait until the "maintenance" is over. And who knows when that'll be.

So blah. I figure while I'm stewing in my rage at not being able to get all the cool new DLC, I'd update you all.

Also, anyone who previously had a PSN account will be eligible for tons of free stuff as a "welcome back" gift, including two free PSP/PS3 games (dunno if it's both if you have both, or only the one, or what), a weekend of free movies over your PS3, and a bunch of other minor bonuses like free avatars and such. THIS HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED/STARTED YET, so keep your eyes out for when they do put it into effect---likely this weekend or next. When I hear something, I'll let anyone this actually effects know. :)

So yes, rejoice, it's back, and here's hoping the "maintenance" finally ends before I fall asleep so I can buy all my DLC before everyone else on the planet wakes up and floods the PSN and causes it to crash or something fantastic like that o_____O
