So, not that anyone still comes to the board except like, a handful of us, but I have a quick question for all of you who are still around. When Dissidia: Duodecim first came out, I used their "Quest Creator" mode to create, more-or-less, my reinterpretation of the final four battles of Final Fantasy VIII, or as close as is possible given the characters/text limits/backdrops available. The quest took me probably seven or eight hours to create, and involved me choosing and writing dialogue, picking characters, editing special effects, and creating prologue dialogue, pre-battle dialogue for each of the four battles, different post-battle dialogue depending on if you win or lose for each battle, and then an epilogue and its dialogue. Unfortunately, since I created it in the first week of acquiring the game, the equipment I gave Ultimecia for those battles really sucked (all level 1 stuff, I believe), and the abilities she had available were rather lame, so when I replayed it earlier this week, it was super-easy to beat all four of the back-to-back battles with just one character. I managed, however, to more-or-less max out Ultimecia's abilities this week, and customized four different set-ups for her, each with relatively unique abilities, weapons, armor, and accessories, and edited them into the original quest to create something at least vaguely more difficult. So, cut to the chase, Frosty, amirite? Anyway, the point is, I've now more-or-less finalized my unique quest, UnRemember. While inspired by the final battles in FF8 and using as much of the original dialogue as I could fit into the 50-character-limit-per-bubble, only-10-dialogue-bubbles-per-scenario scenes, UnRemember is, at least somewhat, vaguely "mine", and I'd really love to share it with anyone interested. Alas, I'm sure most of you don't have Duodecim to actually play the quest, and I'm not sure how to upload it online to share it like that anyway, so my question is this: is there enough interest in it to make it worthwhile for me to use my camera to video the entire quest and upload it onto, I dunno, YouTube to share, or...not? I usually wouldn't care and would just do it, but this "stealing intellectual property" thing is currently a hot topic, and while /some/ of the content (specific dialogue, and how it's all put together) is mine, obviously it was created using Duodecim, and based heavily on FF8. And while I'm fine writing huge long disclaimers giving all credit where its due, I'm not going to spend the time recording and then uploading it unless someone's interested, since if I'm risking getting thrown in an American prison for 50 years cuz they're insane, uh, I want at least some assurance that ONE person actually viewed and enjoyed it. So ![]() Also, while it might not make much sense before you actually watch the quest itself, I've been contemplating adding a fifth battle (since you can have up to five, and I only have the four, based on the Ultimecia, Griever, Grievamecia, and True Form Ultimecia battles) with Ultimecia-as-Edea, probably as the first battle, and pushing the rest back. However, if I did this, I'm not sure whether I'd base the dialogue off the first Edea battle (Disc 1) or the second one (Disc 2), or just create unique dialogue entirely. I'm also not sure if it'd be worthwhile at all to actually add a fifth battle, since yeah, whatever, but since Ultimecia does come with an alt costume for Edea, even if she shares none of her signature moves, uh, at least it`s a possibility. So um, yes. Long story short (tl;dr!): I have a revamped version of the FF8 final battles as a quest on Duodecim. I want to know if anyone would be interested in either playing it (if they have a copy of Duodecim themselves) or, more likely, if you`d want to just watch it on YouTube or whatever. Lemme know, and I will either share or...not. Yes. Stay awesome, everyone, and enjoy yourselves! I look forward to hearing back from anyone who shows up
