I had actually forgot about this song 'til recently... But it's actually a highly inspirational song to me. It makes me feel so many emotions at once. I'm not sure why, honestly. Maybe it's just the way the song itself is? |

Ohh the list goes on. That's another good one. I'm currently watching 'frozen planet'. I swear I own and watch more doco's than movie's these days. Movie's are so lame and poop now time. 'Louis Theroux - most hated family in America' is a good laugh and I recommend it! |

Frozen planet, unfortunately, is only about 6/7 episodes. I've already seen them, but rewatching them. My cable gives me more documentary channels than shows, which i prefer nonetheless. I've gone tired of these fake reality television shows and bad tv. The documentary in my opinion give me a reason to appreciate this world and my being able to live on it. While the reality television just makes me hate mankind even more. Lol. The Life one. I have not heard of it, but i'll check it out on the discovery channel. |

I actually went a few years without knowing the actual name of the song. It was mostly due to people calling it different things than I had known it to be called. I've heard, "FATE's Scar," "Time's Scar," "Scars of FATE," and "Scars of Time," which is apparently the correct name. I used to call it, "Time's Scar," too. It's a great song, but as said, it influences a lot of emotion all at once, even putting the game aside. If you include the game entirely, there are two intros that also make me feel certain emotions, but moreso, these are two games (the pre-menu AMVs/prelude and the intro vids were inspiring to me) that made me want to be a game designer/developer in the first place. |

Time's Scar is interchangeable to Scar's of Time. How about some Radical Dreamers? |

THIS. THIS TIMES TWELVE OCTILLION AND FOUR. *dies*I love this song too. I was actually going to include it in my list of favourite video game songs, but since we were focussing on Mr. Uematsu, I avoided it. Regret it now, cuz yes, holy eff, this song is awesome. I too spent forever trying to work out what it was called. I heard it first in two FF-y music videos---one was called Scars of Fantasy and was an FF8/9/10 video, and the other was Scars of Time, and was CC and I think FF8 and maybe some others. Both were awesome videos. I still have both on my laptop (or, actually, my portable hard disk, since I had to recycle most of my music and vids when my laptop got too full---must remember to put it all back on eventually x___X), but I can't find em easily enough on YouTube, so yeah. Um, if I figure out a way to, I can share em with anyone interested, since they were sweet videos. Was so happy I finally worked out what it was. I think it was actually a post of Josh's a few years ago that led me to work out the title, and then when I finally got a copy of CC and watched the opening FMV (which skipped a lot cuz it was second-hand and they effed the first disc), I OD'd on awesomeness. Good times. =D As for the documentaries, I have to agree with a lot of you. I haven't watched any of the specific ones you're dealing with, but I love stuff about either oceans/deep sea (especially the stuff focusing on what lives down there), and I like documentaries on prehistoric creatures---especially terror birds (hot d@mn those things are terrifying as sh!t), but also dinosaurs and pretty much everything else. ....which is also the reason I think Primeval, a British TV show involving anomalies in time and space that features random creatures invading our world is awesome. Quite looking forward to the Canadian spin-off, Primeval: New World that's supposed to be premiering sometime this year. ![]() I've been getting more and more bored with my television shows. They're rarely as good as I hope they could be, and anything that is good gets cancelled, which is annoying as hell. However, have any of you watched any of Once Upon A Time? The first few eps were only pretty good, but the season as a whole has been awesome and I generally love the twists of the show (even if I guess most of them). Adult version fairy tales set half in real life and half in a fantasy world that enmeshes all the stories in one narrative? THIS SHOW MUST SURVIVE UNTIL I DIE. ...no, universe, that's not permission to kill me immediately and then announce the show's cancellation tomorrow.

I've actually have not had the time for prehistorical documentaries. Those are typically playing while I am at work or school and my boyfriend fulls my DVR with sports or I dont get to watch them. I've also been watching a lot of black and whites movies. I found the acting to be so amazing. It's so weird and different from movies now an days. The graphics, eh, but during that time, I know there was not much technology to make it as good as it should have been. I am hoping to watch Casanova this weekend. ![]() I havent heard of Once upon a time. Do you know specific what television channel plays it? I am sure Canadian channel names are different. The series I have been watching is Weeds, Game of Thrones, the Walking Dead, and Hell of Wheels. I like it because they usually play the new seasons like a couple of weeks after one of them finishes. |

I've pretty much watched every video on youtube for different versions of the song... Granted a few people did miss notes here and there, but I swear this is just a song you can't make sound bad even if you tried... One of the more interesting ones I've found recently was this one: While I'm at it, I'll post another inspirational song from the game as well. I actually put Scars of Time and Frog's Theme on my phone as ringtones. Had to delete every other one, and the Scars of Time is an MIDI, but it was WELL WORTH IT. Frog's Theme is also an inspirational song. XD I love music. Frog's Theme: MIDI Scars of Time (it supposedly is MIDI but sounds more like a clearer format, not to mention it's not MIDI format ):http://vgmrevix.rockmanpm.com/Chrono%20Cross%20%28PS%29%20Scars%20of%20Time.mp3 Edited by Sora, May 9 2012, 12:35 PM.

I am kind of insane when it comes to DVDs---back when I had money, I'd spend like 200 dollars a pop buying anything that struck my fancy. Haven't had money now since, like, August 2010, but yes, if I saw any documentaries I liked, I bought em the same as I'd buy a season of a TV show I liked or a good movie. So yeah, I have something like a thousand DVDs...which is kinda cool, except since I have no money now, odds are I might need to start selling them at like a 20th of what I bought em for ![]() As for Once Upon a Time, it airs on ABC in the States and CTV in Canada (not that it matters, but uh, maybe you can check out the most recent eps on ctv.ca if they don't lock you out based on your country? I'm sure ABC has the most recent eps up, but you reeeeeally should start at the beginning (or thereabouts) as to not ruin things for yourself. Also, the only new episode left to air is the season finale, so...yeah. o__O). I can probably point you in the right direction to find the earliest eps if you're interested. ![]() Speaking of music videos and awesome songs, I've become obsessed with finding the perfect music video combination of Once Upon a Time video and Wonderland by Natalia Kills audio. I found a couple awesome ones, but a few were so early that some of the...more "key" lyrics don't have the "appropriate" images backing it. You can pretty much tell when the video in question was made based on who they feature during the "you be the beast and I'll be the beauty-beauty" and "Take me to wonderland" lines, since...yeah. Random links! (since I dunno how to video embed ) Head's up, minor spoilers involved, but mostly just if you don't wanna know each character's fairy tale land alter-ego. When in doubt, check the vid's upload date, compare it to the fact the series premiered in late October, and decide if the amount of pseudo-not-really-spoilers are right for you. ![]() This one is probably the best so far This one is the most recent one but audio kinda sucks I'm much looking forward to the summer/end of the week, when all this season's eps are aired and we'll hopefully get some better Wonderland/OUaT mash-ups that actually take into account the stuff from the last five or six eps. ![]() I also quite like this music video---song's nice and, of course, yay for Once Upon a Time! This one's so early there's next to no spoilers, barring the first like, 5 episodes maybe?Great song and video I actually quite like that ^ one cuz it features the Curse Fog (which is awesome) a lot, the hilarious scene of Henry chucking Emma's apple from Regina, and the last thirty seconds is pretty much this really cool fight scene that's quite tragic. Also, since about 70% of the video's content is from the two-part opener, if you watch them, pretty much no spoilers otherwise. ![]() And on the topic of music video-type vids, back before FF13 even came out, I was on a kick to watch as many of the gameplay and cutscene videos of XIII and Versus XIII as I could. I stumbled across a music video (see below) that not only was quite awesome (even if the quality at times wasn't so great) and gave me some new screens from the two games, but also introduced me to the music of Celldweller, who's become one of my favourite artists. Content-wise, this is ollllllld news. The video was compiled before FF13 came out (it came out in early 2010), and before they even revealed any other characters aside from Lightning, Vanille and Snow. It also contains at least one screen that doesn't happen in the game---Lightning strolling through Sunleth Waterscape (it's Vanille and Sazh who go there, and I'm almost certain Lightning never shows up). Ironically, the Versus XIII content is actually ALMOST THE MOST RECENT STUFF TO BE RELEASED. There's been maybe two other trailers with content beyond what you can see in this music video, one of them including some gameplay footage, but aside from that, we seriously HAVEN'T GOTTEN PRETTY MUCH ANY NEW INFO ON VERSUS XIII since 2009. ![]() I highly suggest if you've never checked out any trailers for Versus XIII (which has still not been given a release date yet x_X), go browse YouTube and do that, since it's pretty sweet looking and I think you'll thank me. In the meantime, tide yourself over with the video in question that started my love for two excellent things: Pretty Epic Stuff As for shows, I watch Walking Dead too, although it's really too slow for my tastes anymore, and for a character drama, none of the characters are all that likable. They seem to be trying reeeeeally hard to make you sort of be able to stand Lori and her family in general, but at the cost of most of the other characters. Personally I still love Andrea, but they've certainly tried to destroy her character this season so that we like other people in comparison. I'm gonna stick with it, probably, but if they kill her, eff that, I'm gone. I actually watch a lot of shows, although only a few of them have been really great this season. I watch...hm, Castle, Bones, Pretty Little Liars, Glee, Ringer, Criminal Minds, CSI, Vampire Diaries, Secret Circle, Fringe, Once Upon a Time, GCB, Merlin, Sanctuary, Misfits, Alphas, Warehouse 13, Primeval, Torchwood, Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, X-Men, Alcatraz, Avatar: The Legend of Korra and the Rick Mercer Report. I've been really disappointed with Bones, Glee, and even Fringe this season, a couple of my shows are bound to be cancelled, a bunch of others killed off my favourite characters, and the rest are just...yeah. It's gonna be a reeeeally boring summer since come this time next week, I only have Legend of Korra to watch, and aside from PLL coming back in June and mayyyybe one or two other summer premieres, looking kinda dull until September or October. ![]() And now I think I'm gonna go away. Should probably pretend to do something important before the day ends. ttyl! ![]() @MI: If you want any more info or links regarding Once Upon a Time, lemme know and I'll hook you up.

Hey ya'll! Sooooooooo I have a tumblr that is "inspiration themed". It's mostly just pictures that I find inspiring or though-provoking, although there are some words of mine in there - especially in the first entry I made, which is now posted last. I've had the blog since about the time I started this thread, but wanted to build it up a little before broadcasting it to the world. If you're on tumblr, add me and comment! Otherwise feel free to enjoy and check back often! http://inspirationwhere.tumblr.com/

I finally got tired of not having them and downloaded the CT and CC soundtracks... I'll probably overload my hard-drive (I've got about 30 gigs left, so hope not) but I plan to get the full OSTs from FF6, FF7, FF8 (I have the first 2 disks of the OST I think), FF9, FFX, FFXII, and FF Dissidia. I'll probably also grab FFI, FFII, and FFIII, pretty much any of them I've played. I've played FFIV and FFV, but not really enough to remember them much. =_= I remember something involving a massive airship at the beginning of one of 'em I think... After that, nada. Technically I never played FFII (wanted to play FFI first) but since I own it I'll probably grab the soundtracks. Considering each one is roughly 150mb-250mb per disk (varied by game of course, and the old ones will probably be like 300mb total), It'll probably take about... 5-10 gigs maybe? XD I'm just tired of talking about all of this inspirational music and not owning all of it. Probably gonna grab the The Legend Of Dragoon soundtrack, KH/KH2/KHBBS/KHCOM soundtracks as well as (if I can find them) Sword of Mana, Legend of Mana, and Legend of Legaia. Then again thinking back on my childhood, Sega Frontier was another good game (which I totally forgot I had and I JUST NOW REMEMBERED that my cousin stole it along with my Jade Cocoon) with a decent soundtrack, so I'll probably grab it too. I never finished SF... I'm getting a mother F-ing emulator for PS1 and PS2 (since this laptop can handle that) and I'm just gonna load up a bunch of these games. |
