Another lonely night without the kitten. Perfect. Kyne had plans tonight. In fact, he had encouraged the lobo to take their girl somewhere tonight. He had mentioned something about needing to go grocery shopping. Of course, Kyne had laughed at him for that, reveling in the fact that the puppy dog would rather buy food than actually have a date night with their dear Trinity. Poor boy had a lot to learn. What was that saying? Oh, yes: Can't teach an old dog new tricks. Yeah, that was it. Laughing at his own jokes, no one else to hear his mania, He sat in a chair he had placed near the "Vampire Entrance" Jason had configured into the basement wall. It led outside. Marcus would never know what he brought in and out of the home this way. Kept him safe from random fits of gunshot wounds because Em decided to "save" the "victim."
A knock came to the door. Knowing exactly who it was, Kyne leaped to his feet and opened it. A young girl, early twenties, no older, stood on the other side, a cute little kitten in one arm and a shopping bag in the other. Looking up at him, she held the animal out to him. "Sorry I'm late. My boss made me close. Is this the right one?" she apologized. Laughing, he retrieved the cat, inviting her inside.
"No worries, miss. I would have waited all night long to stand just a moment in your presence," he charmed, leading her into the bedroom Jason had also configured for him. The lobo was awful generous with his home considering technically Kyne had stolen his girl, gave her back, and insisted on coming home with him. Giggling nervously and blushing profusely, the girl followed him like a loyal puppy on a leash. All right, that perro was obviously getting to him if all his analogies were going to be dog related.
Taking a seat on the edge of his bed, the girl sat beside him quietly. Making sure to occasionally throw friendly glances her way, Kyne inspected the cat. He was small, but not entirely too small for a kitten. Black dominated his long fur, save for his nose, mouth, cheeks, socks, chest, and belly. All the trimmings were white. Little tufts of fur protruded from the tips of his ears, fluttering every time it mewed meekly. Barely weened, barely old enough for solid food. The girl offered up the bag now. Its contents were all the major necessities for a kitten: a small bag of food, litter, a cat box, food and water dishes, even a few little toys.
"Wow, you have done well, little miss," Kyne commented, releasing his new pet in order to sort out its belongings. The girl shifted beside him, blushing and smiling. "Have you named the little guy?" he asked, watching the baby skitter around the room, stopping long enough to swat at the blanket hanging off the bed. Chuckling he looked back at the girl. He caught her watching him, almost in a daze. Moving back to the bed, he caressed her cheek delicately.
"Pr-prince," she announced, jumping a little. Once again he chuckled, knowing she had him in mind when she named the creature.
*TIME SKIP*
Flushed, the girl stumbled out of the room with help from the fox. Darting in and out of his way, little Prince watched as the girl left. Full of life once more, and his wallet not the least bit emptier, he scooped up his new kitty and the kitty's dish, and made his way upstairs. Now at least he had someone to keep him company while Jason and Trin were out during the day. Em was cool and all, but he really did like living enough to stay out of the man's way for the most part.
Entering the kitchen, Kyne dropped the bowl beside the island in the kitchen and started sifting through the fridge. Barely any milk left in there, but he gave what there was to his new friend. Ignoring his new master, the animal lapped it up happily.
Groceries heaved heavily onto the counter. Kyne stood and grinned broadly. He watched as Trinity darted passed them to head upstairs. Poor girl hadn't been feeling too well these last few days. Taking the remaining bags from the wolf, he wondered in the guy had seen the new pet. Laughing, he lifted the cat and forced it on his friend. "Lobo, look what I got today," he said, starting to dart around and put away the food they just brought home. Occasionally his eyes shifted, wondering how well Jason was going to take him bringing home a cat without asking.

Well that had gone well. Admittedly groceries shopping had been his idea and they needed the food it just was a hassle all things considered. Trinity wasn't feeling good otherwise he would have suggested something more fun. And she proved to be feeling terribly even as they walked through the isle in search of food for the next week or so. He was really starting to worry about her. it was getting progressively worse with each passing day. At this point Jason was already geared to take her to the hospital but she insisted that it wasn't necessary and that he worried to much. He had every right to worry but at this point he just wanted to make sure she was ok. His patience for bad things happening to her was running thin.
Hefting the grocery bags onto the counter Jason looked over to the vampire and the small kitten in his arm. At first Jason just passed him by so that he could put the groceries in his arm in the fridge but the moment His arms were free Kyne thrust the animal onto him and Jason came to the sudden realization that Kyne had a kitten in his arms not a moment ago and now he had it. Jason wasn't overly fond of cats, to say the least. Not because he was a wolf or anything like that but because he just didn't like them. He had family as a teenager that had a great many cats and they never cleaned up after them. Just visiting that family member was enough to make him sick of cats for ever. He wasn't mean to them but he just didn't want them in his house.
Jason shot a glare at Kyne who seemed relatively pleased with himself for having the animal in his possession. It was only out of habit that he glared, but he had no grounds to really punish Kyne for it. Like he knew Jason didn't like cats. He walked passed Kyne handing the cat to him and moving toward the fridge. He sighed lightly before looking back to the vampire. " I suppose should have told you that i don't like cats in my house. It's ok that you have one. But I'm going to have to ask that you keep it downstairs in the basement if your going to keep it." He said coldly. It wasn't the vampires fault but Jason had to be stern with him, Just as he had to be with Trinity sometimes this was how it had to be. Reaching into the fridge to grab a bottle of water. He really wasn't in the mood to argue about anything right now but he drew the line at cats.

The glare he received was a bad sign. Had Kyne messed up somehow? Oh, he was good at doing that with Jason. That was fine. Everything would be mended soon. Lobo couldn't stay angry at the fox forever, could he? No, no he couldn't. It just wasn't possible. Being angry at Kyne about anything was silly, because it was impossible to stay angry. Yup. At least, he was going to tell himself that. Honestly, he had not thought about how having the cat might affect Jason. He was sure there were no allergies involved, so he figured it would be all right. Apparently he had been wrong. Fine. He would mend things, and in time Jason would learn to love Prince. Just like he loved Kyne. Sure, the wolf protested this fact, but he couldn't hide his true feelings forever. Kyne was just lovable; there was no shame in that. Even Em was warming up to him. Okay, not really, but it would happen. All he needed was time.
"You don't like cats, perro?" Kyne repeated, pouting at the thought. At least he was given permission to keep the animal. Ha! Permission! When did the fox ever ask for that? Hmm...never, that's when. Otherwise he would have all ready known about Jason's distaste for cats. "So, you're telling me," he said, holding Prince up to Jason's eye level, "That you don't like him? This guy? This adorable gatito? You don't like him?" The interrogation was probably a little irksome. Prince didn't like it, that was for sure. He squirmed in Kyne's arms until he was let down. The second his baby paws touched the ground the kitten was off. Long gone. Oh well. Kyne would go looking for him later.
Leaning against the counter, Kyne watched Jason finish putting the groceries away, moving around every time he got in the way. "Thank you, maestro, for your permission to keep the little guy," he said with a mocking laugh. He would have kept the cat either way, but at least this way he didn't have to keep it a secret. "Why must he stay downstairs, though?" he protested. Arguing with Kyne was only a matter of stamina. The one with the most won. "I'll clean up after him. I cannot keep him caged up all the time. The poor thing needs sunlight." The last of his argument made him laugh, since he would obviously not be able to give sunlight to anything. It was a valid argument nonetheless.

" They aren't easy to train and they make a horrible mess sometimes." He said in response to Kyne's question. Jason just didn't like the idea of cats in his house. Especially when he or Trin would have to take care of the thing when Kyne slept. Not to mention this was a big house and there was no way they could keep that cat out of everything. He just didn't want to have to be the one to put up with it. Which he was sure he would be doing a lot of if he let this argument go. Jason didn't want to budge on the matter. It wasn't the cat itself he was mad at. It was that Jason didn't want a rerun of his cat relatives home happening here. Jason took great pride in his home. He did build it after all.
" He is alright for a cat but i mean it He stays downstairs where you can clean up after him." Jason held his ground against kynes assault. He let out a groan as the cat ran off into the house. No doubt to explore and cause havoc. Jason would send Kyne after him when he was done with the discussion. For now it would be alright. And if either Marcus or Trin found the kitten Jason was sure he would hear about it.
Then Kyne brought up a good point. The kitten did need to be able to run around and needed to be in the sunlight. Jason was alot of things but cruel wasn't one of them. And he did believe animal cruelty was wrong. Kyne had him beat on those grounds. Keeping the little thing locked up in the basement would be cruel and seeing as Kyne burned in the sun it would be to dangerous to put a sun light opening to the basement in. Shaking his head Jason finished off his water and then threw the bottle away. Walking away from kyne toward the pantry Jason opened it up and pulled a few boxes out for dinner that night. Supposing Trin would eat tonight feeling the way she did. As he did so he sighed. " Alright it can come up here. But you are going to clean up after it diligently. I don't want my house smelling like the cat has taken over. We clear?" He said as he turned back toward Kyne pointing his box of instant stuffing at him. The gesture may not have looked as serious as Jason wanted it to but he meant it.
