I hate it.

I'm supposed to be writing a four page essay on this crap.

I've written a paragraph and I'm already wishing I never started.

RAGE.

I cannot speak about this horrid material for four pages.

Therefore, NOT DOING IT. <3

What are your thoughts on Shakespeare?

I actually like Shakespeare, but I do not enjoy writing about it. I find myself repeating things I already said as filler to try to finish a paper.

I just never liked how they did it every year. They keep shoving it down our throats. Maybe they should focus on more things like grammar, because no one really knows how to talk or spell right.

That's the thing, in Canada, the teachers spend the majority of the time shoving everything down your throat, including grammar.

You get deducted many points if you don't use absolutely perfect grammar and usage in EVERYTHING you do. And when I say perfect, I literally mean: perfect.

Sounds like a place I don't want to be. :P

It was the same here, until Senior english. That year we read Ayn Rand (I HATE YOU I HATE YOU HAET HAET HAET), and then we wrote an autobiography.

Since when is Stephen King good literature? He just gets books published because of his name, not the quality of his writing.

Yeah, Ayn Rand wants to make me slit my own wrists.

I still remember the thoughts going through my head when I had to do that crap:

"YOUR A CUNT, YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT,YOUR A CUNT."

Stephan King is an idol of literature and creativity. All the books of his that I have read have been high quality and definitely better reads than most. He at least keeps your attention. I usually read for an hour each night before I go to bed, and whenever I was reading a Stephan King novel I had to literally pry myself from it just to stop.

And lol @ Martin.
We have to read the Shakespeare out loud in class, and there's always that one person that can barely read and always reads every single scene, and basically makes up their own script. That's the only good part of Shakespeare, the hilarity of listening to somebody trying to read it.

But yes, I agree. Shakespeare is a cunt.

I havn't read his books but he once said that Glenn Beck was 'Satan's mentally challenged younger brother' a level of wit on almost on par with Mr. E.Blackadder. :p

Mind you I don't have to do Shakespeare no more.

Oh and;

loldave. Well I hate all of his work except Julius Caesar. That was, by far his best piece, and probably one of my favorite pieces of all time. Wrote an essay about it, and well, I did good to say the least.

And haha yeah, I heard your school is overly liberal, Dave. Good luck ~_~

Lols you guys. We basically read 1 book/novel/play per literary movement. Our modern one was East of Eden, which is a great book nevertheless.

I did Atlas Shrugged for my final essay though. I don't get what's so entirely bad about her, at least she adds some character and flavor to her political ideology instead of reading the fucking Communist Manifesto. But I am biased since that book pretty much describes the situation California is in to the detail.
