Abandon all hope ye who enter. Welcome to Forum Wars, where everything is as you want it, mostly. If your reading the first post of this thread, I'm going to assume your new here. ![]() Holy shit, your a new guy. Ah, anyway, you can call me the Shrike. I'll be your guide for understanding this cosmic mess of a thread, from grammar errors to over-the-top-batshit-insane-wars. Lets start with the Rules. To the top right, you'll see a neat little toolbar. Among the less important things you'll see there, you'll see this. ![]() And there you have the basic Rules. They should be simple enough, but don't worry about Rules 1 & 2 right now, you wont build any of that shit for awhile after starting anyway. You MUST follow these rules. ![]() Assuming most copyrights(How a player ensures his units are "Unique") are taken and they are, unless its some obscure Sci-fi like Dune or some shit, you'll probably be stuck using Star Wars canon tech until you can convince one of the games many CR Hoarders to let you use it. The spice is life! Onwards we go. You see, as a player you "Research" technology over a period of days to unlock it, and you "Build" things in order to either A) Produce Units and Build Defenses or B) Be able to use the units you just built. Assuming you have any non-Star Wars canon tech researched if it requires it. Next we have the Starting Fleet and other Starting Stuff. That's right! You actually get free stuff in the beginning, especially from other players who want you to join their factions. Bribing really, but hey, whatever keeps that damned Chaos Raid Fleet off your ass. Starting Stuff: -5ish planets. -Variable number of ships(Not including "Gifts") -Starting Planetary Army. Ok, we covered the Rules, the CR's, Tech, and Starting Things. Oh, right, factions. When joining the game, you'll get offered many, many invitations to join the current FW factions. I suggest joining one of the more stable ones, if only to keep certain raiders(read: Chaos) off your ass until you develop some tactics and build things. On that note, Tactics for War: God help you if you do get into a war, because the other side will most likely either do nothing or just send units to your planets and hope to god they can beat you.
