All you can do is play to make finals. You can't play to win, because you don't know what the jury is going to base their vote on. If the jury is too butthurt about getting pwnt by a good move, then I'd be too embarrassed to receive votes from bitter pussies like them anyway ![]() "boohoo, he voted me out. I got outplayed. He doesnt deserve to win because I am jealous" |

WHile I agree bitter juries = ,I do feel there is more to just playing to get to the end. You can try and anticipate what moves you feel are more respectable than others when given several options on how to get to the end. You can make moves that get you to the finals and that you feel won't piss off the jury members you sent there; I feel you can kind of read how the jury will react based on playing with them in the game before you send them out of the game. By just playing to get to the end and nothing else, you are being totally unconscious to a crucial part of the game. With that aside, congrats on the #1 slot, though I don't feel rankings really mean anything in terms of how good of a player one really is. Someone can play 5 games and come in 2nd every time, and someone can play 5 games and win 3 and lose 2 and be ranked lower, so while I can't suggest a better ranking system, I don't think this one is necessarily perfect if we're goingto judge how good a player someone is

Cervantes was my favorite character to play  I loved being in control, with my good pal Lizardman. -sigh- good times But yes, the way I was playing that game was pissing off three very powerful players which could have had a lot of influence in the jury. Sometimes it's hard to avoid sticky situations like that where you're forced to piss off players in order to advance yourself further in the game, but I feel those situations you can explain yourself out of to a jury if you really had good reason to make the moves you did. Which I did have Oh,and I sound like I'm kocking TS of his #1 ranking. I'm not. It's well deserved. |

If Zelda had been active in the first few rounds.. well everything would have been different because we probably would have got Marth out before her. But if not for the lack of activity and communication at the beginning even I would have voted Zelda at the end given Samus's complete suckery in front of the jury, and I was pretty filled with anti-Zelda venom. I don't want to speak for him but Snake would probably vote Zelda too if she had been more active at the start because he was saying Zelda's FTC almost swayed him. And it's so nice having now shared a jury with madhack, knowing that he's an illogical flailing mess and his opinions on my win are to taken with a huge grain of salt. I kid madhack I kid.

I actually think madhack is a very logical juror Although I would have voted Ivy to win as well, I can see and totally accept and understand and even agree with a Maxi win because I do find avoiding the Soul Arena a very respectable trait ![]() And at LEAST he never slept through a crucial round without pre=voting leading to the demise of his best ally  I kid Level Banks I kid. Oh and one more rant on the ranking system: I do have a hunch that there are a few players out there who if they realize who they're playing with in a game and realize that person has a high ranking on this list, he or she may be more inclined to try and get that person out of the game just for that sole purpose and then deny it profusely if accused of it. |

Ugh I know, but that was my first ORG and I had to learn the extremely hard way the importance of pre-voting. I left a pre-vote in basically every round of Smash Bros. despite it being seriously painful to do with such an enormous cast, because now I always have in the back of my mind how much it sucked to lose Corpse Kid. |

If Zelda had at least provided us with a reason for her inactivity at the start back when we were on Saturn, I would've voted for her. Her social game at the end was solid. And she wasn't completely overplaying like Samus. I also completely disagree with the statement that you can only play to get to the end. It's riskier to play to win at the end by being a jury threat. (As I've found out in my last two games) But making very strong social connections and not completely screwing people over/blatantly lying to them over and over again is a way to have the jury on your side. Yes, you might still lose if you have a strong Final 2 opponent, but Samus could've easily beaten Zelda had he not acted like "Russell Hantz." |

I agree with the "I would have voted for Zelda to win if she wasn't in a coma in the early portion of the game" statements that are happening right now. Guess what? I didn't even read the FTC. I was the first juror and Zelda never even responded to the one PM I sent her at the merge. Samus PMed me on her own to say hi and we actually exchanged a few PMs that weekend. Anything that either of them had to say at the FTC would have had no effect on me anyway so it was the social game with me that I cared about. And Zelda's was nonexistant, even though we started on the same tribe together.

Wait what? There are plenty of ways to go about making the finals without pissing the jurors off. If they're "butthurt," then it's entirely your fault and you should have handled the situation differently. |

No it's not necessarily "entirely your fault". Especially in an ORG, it could even come down to random shit that happened in that juror's real life that pissed them off that day. Idk. But having the mentality that the jurors should just respect your game and deal with it or they're jealous... is basically a recipe for disaster. Before you make a move you have to think about how you'd justify it to a jury without coming off like a cocky prick (and also why it was necessary... I know it pisses me off when a finalist just does shit for the sake of being flashy even if it's not necessary).

No, I know that. My point was just that personal feelings shouldnt even be considered in the slightest when voting for a winner. But that's just my opinion. In almost every game that I was part of the jury, I voted for the person who blindsided me. I respect the lying, backstabbing, etc... but probably because I would be a hypocrit if I didn't
