lol I got a D- in trig, but I did that in high school. Now I am only 2 quarters away from an engineering degree So point is, you can fail a class and still become successful and pursue whatever road you wish to pursue. Trig sucks anyway. Calculus (if you have to take that for Lib Arts) is way easier Stop worrying and start enjoying the fuck out of college while it lasts. One of the main reasons I'm going for a masters is so I don't have to leave college  |

She's like...35? And UPenn is where she got her Master's, I forget where she got her Bachelor's.... I'm planning on applying to 3 Ivies. =/ I think Cornell is the only one I'd have a shot at getting into though. |

Idk as long as you're in the range of what they accept grades/scores-wise, you have a decent shot. A lot of it comes down to everything else you have going on (the stuff that actually makes you interesting... or not). SO many of the kids at my HS had amazing grades and did nothing else and got rejected from most schools they applied to.

Mike, don't be a drama queen. It's just once class, and once you pick your confidence and optimism up, everything will be just peachy keen my love! If you have to fail pre-calc, don't sweat it. If you're seriously contemplating dropping out of school over that class, then you should probs drop out... But anyway, I doubt you're serious about that, so going the liberal arts direction is usually the best option when you don't know what you want to do. It's incredibly hard to find what you want to do and what you're passionate about, but I assume you'll know it when it hits you. I'm a junior in college and I just switched my major. It's not really that great of a setback actually, but one you can make too if need be, so don't worry about too far down the line. Enjoy the college experience. Have a few drinks, make legit friends, enjoy your hobbies and relax.

I didn't really do well on the subject tests (one really good score and a few average ones) and I still got into Dartmouth FYI, so don't worry too much about those. Altho I did do really well on the reasoning test I have a relative who used to teach and Princeton and he was all like "well I can't help you get in sry"

Not only that, but people who come from temperate states to go to school in the Northeast HATE. Like I never knew any better than miserable winters, but when people at my school would tell me they were from like Texas and California I was like LOL ur a dumbass. |

Leave the crime fighting to the professionals like Madhack and I. We formed a crime fighting duo known as The Sandmen. He puts them to sleep and I kill them in their dreams. |

I got into Harvard, but my parents were just above the income level where I'd basically be able to go for free. I mean, we were still in a level where I'd have gotten a lot of breaks, and loans and scholarships definitely would have covered tuition, but it would have been pretty damn hard to pay for everything that's needed, considering my parents had no money to help me with. I've been financially independent since I started school. <3
Not with those SAT scores. ![]() Nah, I don't really know much about undergrad admissions, I'm still surprised I got into an Ivy League in the first place. I was 750+ on all of my SAT categories except for the Spanish subject test, which I think I got a 600 or something on. So I bombed that one, and still got in. If your GPA's above a 4.5 and your test scores are good, I guess you've just gotta win them over with your personal statement and your interview.
There's still a chance I go somewhere in the Northeast for law school, in which case I'll totally be one of those punks. <3

Oh alright. Yeah my parents helped me as much as they could but most of it I just did in loans. Idk, I did have to work while I was there so I would actually have money for books and to live off of though. Those schools are way too damn expensive.
Yeah I think anything above 700 is definitely good enough for any of the top schools really (as long as the rest of your stuff is good too). Other than my Math subject tests, I think I had like 650/660 in both Chemistry & Physics and they didn't care. Besides, they could find you interesting for any other number of reasons or extracurriculars you have too.

They gave me financial aid but not nearly enough and I'm not even close to an only child so my parents weren't paying for everything.
