Omg y'all are such inspirations  Ok, I'll stick with it but if I fail YOU WILL BE HEARING ABOUT IT.

I am currently registering for next semester. I don't know what to take, what I need to take, what I want to take =( I don't think I'm going to be graduating with an associates, I think I'll just transfer next fall. I'm not even positive what I'm majoring in (I guess LAX to go on to pre-physical therapy?) eek this college thing is so confusing.

SEE YOUR GUIDANCE COUNSELLOR!! They are there for a reason. The reason you are confused is because you don't understand it. After you see your counsellor, you will have a clearer picture of what you want.

And get the "If I fail" shit out of your head. You can do this if you believe you can and give it your all. If you think you are going to fail, you'll fail.

Kyle - Thanks bro but honestly, the majority of my motivation is caused by external factors. I'm positive you could do the same if you really wanted to

Oh gawd. You will not fail so you will not be telling us about it. :eyes :eyes

And yeah counselor is the way to go. They will help you organize what courses you need to take now and later on.

81 is actually super decent lolz.

In my first pre-calculus test I got 17/100. The second time I took it I got 93/100. B)

I got like an 87 on my first Elements/calc test and then a 55 on my most recent one  alol. Luckily homework is a huge portion of our class's grade.

..Except my teacher actually grades the homework. lolwut.

As others have said your counselor will set up an ed-plan for you depending on what you decide to major in. If you're undecided maybe they'll just put in all of the general ed you still need.

You ended up doing well in all of your classes last time so just try uber hard or something :P maybe go through each chapter and do some review. I kind of have the same problem with Chemistry right now, and then in my other 3 classes it's a fine line between a B/C.

I hated how in my math/science classes, everything was curved around a B-/C+ and almost half the grade would be determined by the final exam.

SO much pressure. -_-

Um, grades that are totally dependent on final exams are the best kind. You don't have to do jack shit until a couple of days before the end of the semester, then you read up, cram the info, and walk away with an A. ^_^

Anywho, liberal arts is not a major, that's an entire college. How would you major in liberal arts and sciences, what the hell would that entail?

Until you decide what you want to do, you're going to continue to have these frustrations, dude. If you don't know what you want from your degree or what career you want to pursue, then you also won't know what classes to take. Your adviser is just going to point you toward the general education classes and tell you to take those since you'll need that credit anyway no matter what. Maybe he'll try to help you figure out what you want to do with your life, but really, the only person who can do that is you.

I don't know much about transferring and whatnot, but if your plan is to finish two years at your current school and then transfer to a better one to finish your bachelor's, then I think it's generally advised that you find a specific path and show impressive progress in that direction? At least, that seems to make sense, since I'm not sure why a university would accept a transfer student who's undeclared.

If there are any career paths you're even remotely considering, I'd suggest trying out a class that fits that path to see how you like it. Although if you're always going to get super stressed at the end of the semester, maybe cramming too many credits in is a bad thing. :lbf

I'm pretty sure that liberal arts is a major :o my major is Psychology but the community college I go to doesn't recognize Psychology as a major (for whatever reason) and they count it as a liberal arts.

alol

So, like, there are only five majors you can choose from? I mean, Liberal Arts and Sciences includes almost everything that's not real Arts and real Science. So at your community college, you can choose from Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Theater...and Liberal Arts? :lbf

The Humanities

My high school math teacher made it quite clear to us that going down that path was synonymous with "not having a future."

Well I did it anyway. I sure showed him. :shifty

Yeah, I was going to tell SFGP that going to community college for psychology is the dumbest idea ever, but I was too focused on his lack of options.

I'm not going to community college for Psychology, I'm transfering to a university after I finish my sophmore year. :lbf

Anyway, no, you have a huge list of majors you can choose from. I'm guessing that a "liberal arts" major is just a major in a lot of general areas while you can still choose to specifically major in one of those areas. English, for example.

I'm just making a hypothesis because I can't find the button that shows all the majors on my school's webpage
