Consider the program you want (iirc you are my poli sci protege) and how flexible your university is with that. I chose my university, which is not well known (I go to University of Rochester; everybody THINKS I go to Rochester Institute of Technology) because my school has a "no core curriculum" philosophy. Basically, I have never had to take any course I didn't WANT to take. Research all these schools and find out what fits you. Do not take cost or prestige into account because you will seriously get the same education no matter where you go.

Redhawkz are in the Frozen 4 (like we are every year duh) and we're not settling for #2 in the nation this year! Anyway orgasm over, reasons why you should attend Miami: It's a mid-sized school. For undergrad, I can't imagine why anyone would go to somewhere obnoxiously HUGE like Ohio State or UMichigan. On the flip side, unless you've been to a small private school (I have), it might be hard adjusting to a small school. It's the perfect size population-wise. The parties are awesome if you're into them. There's a thousand bars Uptown, and people party from Tuesday-Saturday. On the flip side, if you're NOT into the party scene, there's 60% of the other people on campus who aren't into that stuff. lol But really, if you come here, you can come to one of my parties at my apartment and I'll make you a "Liquid JaMelt" which is 3 shots spiced rum, 2 shots sweet tea and a splash of lemon! We're known as the public Ivy. Reputation is everything. the Farmer School of Business ranked 6th in the nation in 2009. It's also a great research facility for the sciences. Probably the most important, our school's food facilities has been ranked #1 in the nation in several categories nationally since 2004. The girls are SO hot and the guys are equally easy on the eyes. More of a prep scene overall though. If you're a minority, it's super cheap, but I've found out that despite being black, I don't qualify for much government aide. Despite the higher cost, the education is worth it. The campus is GORGEOUS. Nice weather. Doesn't rain or snow much, which is shocking since I live in Toledo (3.5 hours away) and down here, people like to close school when there's a small flurry. <_< *I'm sure there are other reasons, but I'm not fit to campaign for your attendance to Miami. lol I'm just shallow and the things I immediately thought of were alcohol, reputation, and hot people. Ummm yeah, so I vote for you to come to Miami. NOTE: I have a few friends from Case. They are the most excellent research facility in Ohio. so if you're into the sciences (specifically pre-med) then that might be a good option. However, the atmosphere is a bit...if I may be stereotypical: nerdy. Not much fun unless you go into the city to a more diverse crowd.

People who go from west coast to east are universally considered dumb in college). I love that I only have a 3.5 hour ride from my parents' to school, but seriously, I only applied to schools in Upstate NY and New England and ultimately every winter I do regret that.

Basically, I consider it my mission to reiterate how much better my school is than his every time he brings it up. For the record, I know Miami kids. I go to UF, where half the student populace is from Miami. They're cool and all, but it gets old. Unless you are seriously the most obnoxious person in the history of the world, sometimes you just need to get away from that crowd. As someone who attends one of those obnoxiously huge universities, I can say that the larger the student populace, the better. Unregistered	I go to a really small school because I like it better than bigger schools. My professors all know my name, and they are not bullshit TA's. You're going to be able to get wasted at any school in the country, so the main category you should consider is how hot the girls are. Everything else is secondary.
