I've always managed to find some measure of enjoyment out of the games I've played. There's only one moment when I've been genuinely let down in one of these things but it's not the same as what most of you think is a low point.

My low point was during Omni-Survivor: Genosha.

I was just not in the right mental state during that game. I was swamped/stressed with work, and I was frustrated feeling that I was at the bottom and out of the loop in the game. To make it even worse, my mom needed my help to do stuff for her during weeknights when I had challenges, but I kept telling her to go away. Eventually, she got sick of my attitude and we got into a huge fight. Some things were said that pretty much forced me to have to come out of the closet to her.

Coming out of the closet in RL at the time was not something I was ready for or anticipated anytime soon. I was a wreck, almost suicidal, that it all suddenly had to happen. I promptly quit Genosha because it was the last thing I wanted to worry about at the time.

Storm didn't have a proper quit with a goodbye message or anything, so that's what really happened which only the hosts and Cyclops/Plummy knew about. I still have bad memories of Genosha, but now I find it fitting that it was associated with my coming out. Since that's one of the themes that X-Men is a metaphor for. :<3

Storm after the game

Actually my low point was the same game. Right before my boot I was planning an epic switchup because I was at the bottom of my tribe which consisted of pretty much everyone with good social games. And it was so gonna work and I was gonna boot Storm the betraying bitch (alol sorry now :( ). But I just did not feel a connection with any of the people I was flipping to. And I figured something was up because all my tribe was acting really bitchy towards me and I just got really paranoid and I really hated everyone in the game (except for Psylocke/Maj she kept me sorta sane :<3 ) and then I got booted in 10th place and just missed the jury. And at that point it was only my third game and I had gone out 1 or 2 spots before the jury in all 3 of them and I just got really discouraged and really didn't want to play anymore. :(

But I kept getting invites for some reason and I played again and I'm glad I did.

Thanks, Mikester. Yeah, it went fine. It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, though my parents still kinda have an issue with it because they're religious. As for everyone else, they've been accepting. :) I'm much happier now.

This sounds dumb but being booted first from NC4 in the "outsider twist" was the absolute worst. I had a series of crappy finishes (CR's game, Muppets game) and so when I went into NC4 and was booted first that was just awful. I didn't even want to play org's anymore. I was kind of like "I just suck at gaming, i need to retire."

But I never made an overdramatic retirement pity thread. :oldman
Why aren't you pointing your finger at grows, who I have provided sufficient evidence against? She is the starter of all things evil in games.

Dorothy was bad, but had no emotional connection, and I was just busy when I started that. Christy going out third in Greek Islands just killed me. I was so sad, and it all happened because I made new enemies out of people I had come into the game wanting to work with. Actually, Teighteen wanted me out despite me wanting to get over it. I blame him. My mishandling of the ThaiSu situation also makes me sad. But going out... blurgh. And with Brendan voting me out. I was so angry at him. I felt betrayed.

V9...I broke down and cried at one point as those who played know the story.
These're my stats!

And this is to stretch the pages a little bit wider.

I know. I'm so sorry about that. That was fucked up of me, I agree. But like it was either Christy or Kenny and I didn't want either to go so I did what I do best and spazzed out.

Anyway, you were avenged when I followed you out the door.

Surfuckingvivor finale. Fuck you, survivorrulz, for your not-jury pity vote that cost me the game. And fuck you, Ninth Bill Sender, for not voting for me because I refused to write a paragraph about how awesome Hitler was. And fuck you, Josseppe95, for deciding that survivorrulz should get a jury vote even though they were the first person voted out. Also fuck you for bumping up the time of TC also so that the real juror forgot to show up and cast yet another vote for me. Worst. Ending. Ever. :ew :ew :ew :ew :ew :ew :ew :ew

Finishing 3rd in Vertigo 2 and BBAustralia the same day.

Omg I have the exact same experience. :( Er...even though technically I wanted to be voted out in one of them. I was really trying in the other one though.

So sorry about the Ozzy robbage. Latinobros4life

Mine was definitely in Muppets. I'd just found out that one of my best friends was moving out to live with his ex-girlfriend, so I was already in a noticeably shitty mood the night I got booted. But I doubt my crappy attitude or throwing of the immunity challenge had anything to do with my boot. I've never been SO frustrated in a game in my life. The Muppets tribe laughs and makes jokes about it, but not being given the chance to play in that game simply because of the tribe we were on was the biggest bullshit I've ever seen in any game.

Getting blindsided in Vertigo 7 when I wasn't there to compete is a close second though. I've never been so blindsided in a game in my life.

FML's China as Todd. In the F3 endurance challenge (which was the simple "post once per minute" deal), Amanda (SuperJude) and I had a long-time final two and a deal made through PMs that she would step down if we were the only two left, and confirmed in posts during the challenge. Amanda posted she was stepping down and reconfirmed that I was taking her. I typed "done", clicked "submit"... aaaand my computer froze up. And didn't start up again to finish posting until two seconds after my minute had expired. Which technically made Amanda's last post the last valid one made, which made her the winner of the challenge. And I was promptly voted out as a jury threat. Literally two fucking seconds of a computer freeze came between me and winning that game. To this day, it's the only time I actually felt physically sick.

It wasn't because of the tribe you were on. It was because your tribe failed to win challenges. That's as much your responsibility as it is any other person's.

But really, I don't get the controversy over that game. It's not like that's the only time the post-swap majority picked off the people in the minority. It's not like we all ignored you and treated you like shit. Half of the Streeters had a chance to turn the game around, but blew it. The other half just couldn't make the bad situation work for them.

What happened to the Fans in FML's FvF was far more ridiculous. I mean, once again, if they had performed better in challenges, they might have had a shot, but considering it was ten new players against ten veterans, the chances of them beating us in challenges was pretty slim from the get-go. And they were really never given a chance by anyone except Elle. :lawl

ETA: I mean, I get that it sucks. It's happened to me, too. It can be frustrating to feel like you were on a doomed tribe and now any attempts to survive are desperate and meaningless. But, I don't know, the struggle can still be really fun. And again, it's not like it's some amazingly disgusting showing or something.
